6.5/10We shared a paella. It was clearly on the go for sometime as it came out very quickly, the peas and peppers were soggy, and we both had a stain on our finger nails for 24 hours after having de-headed the prawns.

10/10Lovely place - we had shrimp bread soup and the house salmon. Both were very good. Great sangria as well. Kid friendly despite the lounge music.

10/10Went to restaurant on the recommendation of a Portugese and Brazilian couple. We were a little confused when we drove into the parking lot because there are several establishments connected through walkways. Once we found Paladar da Guia, we were surprised to find it directly situated along the water ( beautiful sunset view). Food was delicious and service staff was friendly and extremely attentive. We rate this establishment 10 out of 10!

8.5/10Sadly our table for 5, pre-booked well in advance, was not ready when we arrived….they tried seating us on a standard table for 4 with one squeezed on the end….not the best start. However, eventually they found us a larger table. Good food, good wine, good staff, great location, especially for our uk visitors.

9.5/10The food, service and sea views were very nice. If you come at night, bring an extra layer if you sit outside because it can be cool. The simple menu had more than enough options to meet our desires and were reasonably priced for one but easily fed two persons. So sharing worked great for us. The food preparation was well thought, used local farms and was well seasoned. I would highly recommend a visit.

5/10Magnificent viewpoint where you can eat something. We arrived with a reservation, they seat you outside with what that entails, it is an area above ground with magnificent views, yes, the plates full of dust and sand must be cleaned with a napkin, the portions are small but good in flavor, the service totally non-existent , you have to look for them to serve you and the prices are very expensive, even more so if you value the non-existent service.... that is, the views are impressive... I would give it a 5 as a look, as a terrible restaurant.

8.5/10The location is awesome. You are sitting overlooking the Atlantic ocean. The menu is a nice combination of options. We had the seafood paella, which was good. The restaurant does not have a parking lot so you have to find parking on the street which can be challenging on the weekends.

7/10The waiter was very abrupt and quite dismissive. Very cavalier attitude. The food was so salty that it was almost inedible. Maybe we made the wrong choice with the Portuguese Steak because others seafood dishes looked amazing.

4/10Service is awful…wait 40 min to place order, The waiter did not know the menu, I want to order steak on stone, waiter told me they don t have it today. Another guest got this dish 40 min later in other restaurant area. I also ordered a (not cheap)wine - two times in 1,5h - it never arrived…

7/10Service was horrible. Waited 20 minutes for waiter to arrive then she stopped mid-order and ran away never to return. Couldn’t get the credit card machine to work so we had to pay cash. Food was above average. View was amazing.

6.5/10First they didn't have our reservation for the first time ever! We have been going to Paladar da Guia for the past 6 years and always had a good meal. Service was always ok but the food was great. Having not been there for sometime, we were disappointed. The food arrived in less then 15 minutes which leads you to believe that it was ready and had been reheated. It was salmon with an almond crust, (it takes a bit of time to prepare from scratch) and a portion of shrimps in garlic . I was a bit shocked but didn't complain, we felt rushed and for the first time, didn't enjoy the meal or the experience! It must have been a bad day.. It happens! We will return, of course, because it is not the usual experience! 🫤

5/10The reason we went to this restaurant was for the main on the menu - prego on a hot stone. They announced they weren’t serving it. The mains were ok, but expensive. The desserts were straight from the dessert counter at the supermarket. Only good thing was the view, which of course was not created by the restaurant……! Will not return.

8/10Great setting overlooking the ocean and cliffs, the waiter was super nice and friendly, food was good. The only downside was the waiting time : more than 60 min of wait...the kitchen could not follow the number of customers...We were with family enjoying a good time so no a big issue for us...but could have been quicker...

10/10This is a great restaurant, we order tuna, octopus and fish soup. Everything was great with a espectacular ocean view. The price was reasonable.

4.5/10interior space is ok but the level of service however we were not happy with the paella we ordered. mentioned our dissatisfaction to the chef and all we got was "this is how we do it, don't have it next time if you don't like it". overall, a bad experience for a dinner.

8/10October 2023 so it was not conducive to eating outdoors as it was cold and windy. Small restaurant Saturday night with large parties made it very loud. Salmon dish was great and the chocolate dessert with salted Carmel ice cream was wonderful.
