Everything from booking to dessert - I really enjoyed this experience. The waiters were fab, attentive & smiling. The ambience was so perfect for a single diner & the food was sumptuous.

Good food (not 'great' this time though), service was quite slow, restaurant was full of kiddies making it rather noisy for us to converse, but we accept it was a Sunday lunchtime (so we'll avoid this in future!)

Delightful experience for Family meals or romantic couples with an amazing landscape of Cascais shore cliffs. The meal was delicious, “Polvo à Lagareiro” (octopus in olive oil) and “Arroz de Polvo” (Octopus with rice cooked with octopus) were tender and well cooked. The staff, specifically Paulo Sousa, besides very friendly to guests, was highly professional and attentive. We’ll come back.

Restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining (what a beautiful view!). The staff was nice and polite. Not the priciest but not the cheapest either. the food is good enough, but nothing memorable.

It was our second time at Paladar da Guia and the food was just as delicious as the first time! I had Bife a Paladar both times with a side of mixed salad, it was that delicious! We had a group of 9 people and everyone enjoyed their food as well. The staff was very friendly. Shout out to Inez and Paulo de Souza! Definitely a favorite restaurant of ours for the food, ambiance and friendly staff!

lovely experience. Weather meant we couldn't sit outside, where we had booked, but we were quickly accommodated inside. Lovely atmosphere. Service a bit slow and inaccurate but quickly corrected. Food excellent. Great restaurant.

The ambiance and view were out of this world! Such a beautiful outdoor space with amazing vibes. The food was also flavorful and unique. We tried the seared tuna and the Portuguese steak, highly recommend!

The service was excellent as usual, but the food was way overcooked, dry and nearly tasteless. our friends sent theirs back as inedible and what was returned was no better. Time to find a better option.

We had lunch in PALADAR DE GUIA12/08/2025 at 3:30p.m. It was extremely hot, and there were dozens of flies (the garden behind was was full of manure). We requested to sit inside, and we were told that it was even hotter . We had to ask the waiter to open a parasol, as we were in blaring sun with 36degrees. Our table was heavy, and we had to move it ourselves to be in the shade. We both asked for fish;I asked for my tuna fish cooked rare, it tasted very nice but the experience was uncomfortable. (but the waiter was nice and gave me a hand fan a extra ice). 30 min after we left I started feeling sick, with nausea. When we got back I vomitted twice, I had dirreah and red blotchy skin. I didnt go to the doctors as we were leaving the day after, but I want the restaurant to know of this, as it could have been a fish intoxication. It could also be a mixture of sun stroke and indigestion, but this doesn't usually provoke red skin and blotches, so I don't know what it was.

Food was a bit salty. Ask for no salt!!! Wonderful staff and outdoor atmosphere

The service was really lackluster. There were only about two other tables there when we arrived and the waiters were all sitting down, smoking. One of them reluctantly got up and sat us at a table. It took forever to order and get our drinks, and the food was very salty. It seemed like a tourist trap. Would not recommend.

The view is spectacular. The service was very friendly. The food was good and the servings were large. We had the seafood paella and the salmon. We started with the Cesar salad with chicken (huge portion) and cod croquettes. The deserts (lemon cheesecake, raspberry tiramisu, and chocolate cake were amazing.

We went for dinner with our family, and overall the food was average - the whitefish cevice and salmon tartar were okay, the burrata and smoked salmon salad were poorly prepared, and the cod fish was quite salty and oily. The main problem was that the waiters were quite cold and inattentive, serving as if they were forced to.

Great location, of course, but the sauces for two different dishes were exactly the same and too vinegary.

Food was nice. The service had sometimes a bit delay. They charged 2 Euro for extra cheese for the pasta - but there was no cheese on the pasta at all - so why extra? On the terasse it was super windy but not enough blanket for all the guests.

nice setting with a great view over the sea. Food was good but some basic things kind of let it down when it could have been excellent. Octopus was cooked so tender but was under seasoned. The acorda de camarões had too much heat (chilli), which over powered the dish, but the prawns were very nice.
