9.5/10lovely experience. Weather meant we couldn't sit outside, where we had booked, but we were quickly accommodated inside. Lovely atmosphere. Service a bit slow and inaccurate but quickly corrected. Food excellent. Great restaurant.

The ambiance and view were out of this world! Such a beautiful outdoor space with amazing vibes. The food was also flavorful and unique. We tried the seared tuna and the Portuguese steak, highly recommend!

5/10We had lunch in PALADAR DE GUIA12/08/2025 at 3:30p.m. It was extremely hot, and there were dozens of flies (the garden behind was was full of manure). We requested to sit inside, and we were told that it was even hotter . We had to ask the waiter to open a parasol, as we were in blaring sun with 36degrees. Our table was heavy, and we had to move it ourselves to be in the shade. We both asked for fish;I asked for my tuna fish cooked rare, it tasted very nice but the experience was uncomfortable. (but the waiter was nice and gave me a hand fan a extra ice). 30 min after we left I started feeling sick, with nausea. When we got back I vomitted twice, I had dirreah and red blotchy skin. I didnt go to the doctors as we were leaving the day after, but I want the restaurant to know of this, as it could have been a fish intoxication. It could also be a mixture of sun stroke and indigestion, but this doesn't usually provoke red skin and blotches, so I don't know what it was.

4/10The service was really lackluster. There were only about two other tables there when we arrived and the waiters were all sitting down, smoking. One of them reluctantly got up and sat us at a table. It took forever to order and get our drinks, and the food was very salty. It seemed like a tourist trap. Would not recommend.

The view is spectacular. The service was very friendly. The food was good and the servings were large. We had the seafood paella and the salmon. We started with the Cesar salad with chicken (huge portion) and cod croquettes. The deserts (lemon cheesecake, raspberry tiramisu, and chocolate cake were amazing.

5.5/10We went for dinner with our family, and overall the food was average - the whitefish cevice and salmon tartar were okay, the burrata and smoked salmon salad were poorly prepared, and the cod fish was quite salty and oily. The main problem was that the waiters were quite cold and inattentive, serving as if they were forced to.

Food was nice. The service had sometimes a bit delay. They charged 2 Euro for extra cheese for the pasta - but there was no cheese on the pasta at all - so why extra? On the terasse it was super windy but not enough blanket for all the guests.

8/10nice setting with a great view over the sea. Food was good but some basic things kind of let it down when it could have been excellent. Octopus was cooked so tender but was under seasoned. The acorda de camarões had too much heat (chilli), which over powered the dish, but the prawns were very nice.

4/10We booked in advance and requested a nice table with the best sea view, however when we arrived we were seated 3 rows in from the nicest sea view tables even though the restaurant was pretty empty! It remained quiet while we were there in fact so those tables were available. The food was just ok, service was ok. Disappointing overall.

6.5/10People here are very friendly and the views are fabulous, but we were sorely disappointed by the food. We ordered 3 different shrimp dishes and all were quite overcooked and tough. We were excited to try the grilled octopus and were disappointed to find that too was quite overcooked and tough. The Portuguese beef by contrast was quite undercooked (less than rare) and yet somehow still very chewy, and the “sauteed” spinach accompanying it was charred to a crisp and had no flavor. The sauce for the beef was also far too salty, made worse by very salty potato chips included as the side. The risotto was also heavy on the salt and on the drier side (paired with overcooked shrimp). The tuna shrimp Ceviche special was the only dish well liked by the group. I’m not sure if the overcooked aspect of the dishes was due to poor cooking, or the dishes having been pre-made and sat in a warmer for far too long, but in any case it was quite an unfortunate experience especially given the higher prices

We stayed in the area and were curious about this wall from the boardwalk. Not only did we discover all these restaurants with beautiful sea views, but they were also away from all the crowds and noise. The tables are on gravel, so if you have limited mobility, this may not be the right spot for you.
