A gem of a restaurant in Lisbon. It was recommended by a friend and the restaurant sure did live up to her suggestions that "we had to dine there." It's a lovely little place. Uniquely features a dining room on two sides of the same street. Delicious well prepared food with playful presentation. Great wine and service as well. We all agreed it was a highlight of our Lisbon dining experience.

Everything we ordered was extraordinary, and it was lovely to be able to speak with the chef/owner and hear how she develops new recipes. Appreciated opportunity to taste wine and sauces before ordering. Want to go back before we leave!

The food was of an exceptional quality, the service excellent. Even though we only ordered wine by the glass, the sommelier took the time to bring a selection of wines for us to tase and guided us through them. This level of care and attention certainly stands out from the majority of restaurants.

This restaurant was a true beautiful experience in every sense of the word. From the staff and the service, the food and ambient, everything is absolutely on point. Of course, the food is what people go to restaurants for and here it is heavenly, a menu made by the chef along with a magnificent selection od wines! All in all, if you are a food lover and appreciate a relaxing atmosphere this is a MUST! All the best to the whole staff of Pastanaga!

I had the poultry pie, and my companions had the traditional bacalhau. The pie was excellent, and the reviews of the bacalhau were very positive from both diners. The chef was able to accommodate a fussy eater in our party without complaint. The appetizer prawns and burrata plates were very tasty, and the bread was as good as you'd expect in Portugal. The waiter offered us samples of wines he recommended to go with our meals and allowed us to choose among his three best options. The chocolate mousse dessert was very good, and the ice cream was very rich and creamy. The only disappointment was the carrot cake, which was a bit dry and crumbly. Other than that, and exceptional meal.

The restaurant is located in a quiet section of Lisbon on one of the cute little streets. We sat outside. We were warmly greeted by the staff when we arrived. The menu was very nice with lots of options. I started with a burrata and tomato appetizer that was delicious. I had a beautiful salmon filet that was very fresh and was a simple preparation, which I appreciated. The chocolate lava cake with raspberries was fantastic as well. The food was beautifully plated, the ingredients very fresh and the flavors were delicious. We had a mini wine lesson from the sommelier. It was a very nice dinner experience. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Superb food and ambience, made extra special by the owner, who visits every table and is passionate about her food and recipes. The friendly sommelier can gently guide you through the choices of Portuguese wines. Lovely experience overall, and the highest possible recommendation!
