The restaurant is located in a quiet section of Lisbon on one of the cute little streets. We sat outside. We were warmly greeted by the staff when we arrived. The menu was very nice with lots of options. I started with a burrata and tomato appetizer that was delicious. I had a beautiful salmon filet that was very fresh and was a simple preparation, which I appreciated. The chocolate lava cake with raspberries was fantastic as well. The food was beautifully plated, the ingredients very fresh and the flavors were delicious. We had a mini wine lesson from the sommelier. It was a very nice dinner experience. I would highly recommend the restaurant.

Amazing, service, food, and location just excellent, the menu looks simple but the dishes are everything but simple, super elevated Portuguese food with a touch with fusion with some Asian and Italian flavors as well,just divine.

The food was very good but not great: very simple recipes are served as if sophisticated and in small portions. The bill was higher than expected. However, the lady owner is absolutely nice: polite and welcoming.

Superb food and ambience, made extra special by the owner, who visits every table and is passionate about her food and recipes. The friendly sommelier can gently guide you through the choices of Portuguese wines. Lovely experience overall, and the highest possible recommendation!

Food, wine selections, service everything was perfect. Especially, chef's recommendation, Moqueca (Grouper with coconut flavor cream sauce and rice) was the best! We would definitely want to visit again there!

For the size of our group (8) they laid out the tables in a square, not a long line. This made all the difference to enjoy the meal with everyone. The staff were great. The food was excellent. Would go back and highly recommend it any time i am asked.

What a lovely restaurant! The food was delicious but it was the gentleman who helped us choose our wine that made our evening. He was so helpful and knowledgeable, allowing us to try two green wines before deciding on which bottle we would have, Thank you for our favourite meal in Lisbon!

Simply the best meal and service we experienced in Portugal. We heard about Pastanaga while in Porto. We wanted to make a reservation for eight people. They don't have a lot of inside space so they called me to confirm that outside would be ok. They had blankets available and sitting outside was so romantic and fun. Our group of eight all loved our meals, but it's the experience of meeting all Anna and her staff. You will leave feeling like your family. Try the wine sampling! Eat slowly and share! Save room for dessert! We went twice in five nights and I want to go back.

We found this gem of a restaurant in September of 2022. It was wonderful then and fabulous this time as well. We went with our 2 grandsons, age 4 and 5. They even brought out a few table games for them to play. The food was delicious. The owner is the sweetest and remembered us from last time. We did take a picture with her. We look forward to many more dinners at Pastanaga. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Lisbon.

Such a great find! The wine guy was super knowledgeable and paired our meals perfectly. We would definitely recommend the chicken pie, my mum has a really small appetite and it was so good that she polished off the whole thing, despite it being a generous portion. Very charming, we'll be back again.
