This is an exceptional restaurant. The menu is exciting and the flavours are a perfect blend. The chef really cares about the food he prepares and presents some of it to the table himself. His wife is ‘front of house’ and is very welcoming. She can offer advice about the food and wine. I highly recommend a visit.

Outstanding small restaurant run by wife and husband. Only set for seven tables the evening we dined, so is intimate. The service was impeccable. We had the gustazione meal and each course was outstanding in flavor and presentation. Reservations are recommended as they were fully booked the Friday evening we dined there.

We visited as a family of 6. We loved our food, whether it was the tasting menu (great value) or a la carte items. Very charming staff. Great venue a stone throw away from the busy and touristy center. Can only recommend it.

Personalised service and a pride in delivering exceptional food to their customers. We had the degustation menu and it was a real treat. Large portion sizes with carefully crafted use of ginger with the sea bass and spiced prawns on skewers. Their ravioli too was an absolute delight with unique and tasty flavouring. In justice to the chef and Maitre d, I’m posting this review, as quite honestly I’d rather keep this special place a secret and continue to be able to get reservations relatively easily.

Best Meal of the Year!! As soon as we walked in we were greeted into a beautiful, cozy and artsy environment. We were met by the owner and chef, Gabriel, who was so warm and welcoming. Then the food - it was love at first bite! Everything was so delicious and inventive. The flavors were nuanced and each item cooked to perfection. The meal was so high end without being stuffy or too fancy. Lovely experience! Cannot recommend enough.

We had a wonderful experience at Per 21 in Oct 2023 and decided to return during our current stay in Lucca. The food is outstanding and very creatively presented. Gabriele & Julia are very gracious hosts. We highly recommend Per 21 for a memorable and unique dining experience.

This restaurant was a great find for us - run by a couple Gabriel from Italy and Yulia from Russia - we thoroughly enjoyed the food and our lovely conversation with Yulia who was absolutely charming - what an interesting life they have lived together - this was reflected in the food we enjoyed - Asian Italian fusion - we would definitely return

Small and intimate, with a wonderful seafood Degustation menu - two courses €28, three courses €36 - which was excellent value for the high level of cooking and ingredients. Highlights were the crab cake starter (like no other!) and chocolate lava pudding. Highly recommend - best food we ate in Lucca.

What a wonderful restaurant. We have gone 2 days in a row, with different friends. They offer a nice break from Pasta and have a daily special menu. This week is a fish menu that was amazing. I had that the first night, last night I tried the short ribs, that had been braised for 48 hours in apple juice. The pear tart is amazing and had it 2 days in a row.

The owners care about food and the menu was fantastic with different dishes which complimented each other such as pasta with a thai green inspired sauce.The tuna and sea bass were amazing as well as the starters including an inspired scallops dish which was one of the best I have ever tasted.The wine list was not expensive but was excellent and well explained by Julia who with her husband make the ambience perfect for a great evening.We went twice and would love to return asap. The restaurant presents an expanded flavor palette beyond regional dishes in a creative and successful way. Thai curry notes added to traditional pasta with seafood and a gazpacho-like base for tuna tartare were big hits. our dinner was one of the best we have enjoyed in Italy. The owner couple provide excellent service.
