Fabulous restaurant run by charming couple! Small and intimate, with a wonderful seafood Degustation menu - two courses €28, three courses €36 - which was excellent value for the high level of cooking and ingredients. Highlights were the crab cake starter (like no other!) and chocolate lava pudding. Highly recommend - best food we ate in Lucca.

What a wonderful restaurant. We have gone 2 days in a row, with different friends. They offer a nice break from Pasta and have a daily special menu. This week is a fish menu that was amazing. I had that the first night, last night I tried the short ribs, that had been braised for 48 hours in apple juice. The pear tart is amazing and had it 2 days in a row.

The owners care about food and the menu was fantastic with different dishes which complimented each other such as pasta with a thai green inspired sauce.The tuna and sea bass were amazing as well as the starters including an inspired scallops dish which was one of the best I have ever tasted.The wine list was not expensive but was excellent and well explained by Julia who with her husband make the ambience perfect for a great evening.We went twice and would love to return asap. The restaurant presents an expanded flavor palette beyond regional dishes in a creative and successful way. Thai curry notes added to traditional pasta with seafood and a gazpacho-like base for tuna tartare were big hits. our dinner was one of the best we have enjoyed in Italy. The owner couple provide excellent service.

A small intimate envioronment, comfortable surroundings, low key music, and very welcoming. Contemporary Italian w/influences from abroad made the menu selection very exciting. Capesante Crudo with mango literally blew me away w/its succulent texture freshness and flavor. One of Lucca's Outstanding dining establishments.

Julia and Gabriele made my family such a lovely meal with some very creative and of course delicious results. They have an interest in some other cuisines that they bring into their understanding of Italian cuisine which makes for some very tasty turns. Their small restaurant is very convivial and they go out of their way to connect with their clientele. Their food is some of the best we've had on our trip to Italy. Grazie Mille.

This restaurant is a gem! We visited on our first night in Lucca and it was the best meal we had there. The food is exquisitely prepared and tasted so fresh and zingy. We had the three course tasting menu which was excellent value. It's only a small restaurant so best to book ahead. Service and hospitality at its best. We will be back!

Lucca has many high quality dining options. Most offer variations of the same menu. Per 21 (for their only 21 seats) is different. Intimate, personal, seafood focused. Gabriele mixes traditional Tuscan ingredients with French and Asian preparations. Julia handles the room with warmth and seemingly unlimited range of languages. You’ll remember this meal!

Per 21 is a wonderful little intimate 6 table restaurant in the heart of Lucca’s historic area that specialises in seafood. The owners used to run restaurants in Singapore and the subtle flavour combinations of the dishes are definitely reflective of the union of contemporary Italian with an Asian influence. It’s evident that quality ingredients are used and there is a commitment to excellence in both the preparation and presentation of the food. The menu (although not extensive) offers a good choice for a unique pescatarian dining experience, where each course is a discovery that delights and surprises. I can highly recommend that if you are in Lucca, you make a reservation to enjoy this unique dining experience!

The most exceptional intimate delicious experience. How lucky we stumbled on this unique and beautiful restaurant. Asian- Tuscan fusion. Lovely atmosphere-only 6 tables. We did every course from start to finish. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Amazing food, went for the set menu but mentioned we Heard someone else ordering bruschetta. They stated the people were. Vegetarian so we’re going to give them some bruschetta as an alternative to the printed menu but happy to give you some as well. Best bruschetta ever, rest of the menu amazing as well. Can’t recommend highly enough

Pleasantly surprised. Service attentive and helpful. Staff Knew the dishes well and explained thoroughly. All dishes were above expectations. Tastes and full of flavours. Dishes were well presented and a decent size. Well worth the money and the effort. Small place but that’s also It’s magic. We will be back.

The food was outstanding! We had the scallops & lentils, tordelli, sea bass, and zuppetta. Lucca really needed a restaurant like this! The flavors and seasonings are balanced. There is a Singaporean flare that is done to perfection! Julia was a delight. The lemon tart was the perfect end to our meal. Thank you!

Excellent time out in a very small intimate restaurant. The owner has years of experience working in NY, London and Singapore and brings a new twist with some Asian inspire dishes to Lucca. Great service, very pleasant music and setting. Food was perfect, a nice break from traditional Tuscan / Italian food. Highly recommended.
