Per 21 is one of our favorite dinning spots in Lucca. Each dish has always been fantastic and creative. Julia and Gabrielle are warm, friendly and fun. The restaurant is cozy and allows for conversation. I highly recommend a lovely dinner at Per 21!

My wife and I loved Per 21. We felt like guests in someone’s home. The food was inventive and exceptional. We appreciated the crossing of Asian and Italian ingredients and food cultures. One of the best meals we have ever had.

Although we are tourists, we have dined at Per 21 four times in 2025. Each time we have picked the degustazione menu and have been delighted each time. Each course has consistently been beautifully presented and wonderful to eat. The owners are friendly, kind, and welcoming. It’s a great place to dine in Lucca. Reservations recommended.

This is an exceptional restaurant. The menu is exciting and the flavours are a perfect blend. The chef really cares about the food he prepares and presents some of it to the table himself. His wife is ‘front of house’ and is very welcoming. She can offer advice about the food and wine. I highly recommend a visit.

Outstanding small restaurant run by wife and husband. Only set for seven tables the evening we dined, so is intimate. The service was impeccable. We had the gustazione meal and each course was outstanding in flavor and presentation. Reservations are recommended as they were fully booked the Friday evening we dined there.

Personalised service and a pride in delivering exceptional food to their customers. We had the degustation menu and it was a real treat. Large portion sizes with carefully crafted use of ginger with the sea bass and spiced prawns on skewers. Their ravioli too was an absolute delight with unique and tasty flavouring. In justice to the chef and Maitre d, I’m posting this review, as quite honestly I’d rather keep this special place a secret and continue to be able to get reservations relatively easily.
