We always eat at Piccolino Arancio when in Rome, a range of options on the menu and many Roman dishes all cooked to perfection. Well worth the wait if it is busy and always easier to book in advance.

No-frills cuisine, but good italian cuisine with quite an amount of food. Good local wines, nice staff. The restaurant is small and there is always a bunch of people waiting outside. Very recommended. if you have no problem with limited space and loudness coming with it.

We went to observance of our marriage anniversary with my wife… Thank you for everything was perfect … And also we definitely advise “ravioli with orange sauce and grill stuffed artichoke which is called Fiore Romano” 🤌😋🇹🇷🇮🇹

The food was really good & pleased everyone with traditional Roman fare. Wine list extensive. We had reservations for which they called & confirmed with us but we had to wait about 10 minutes or so to be seated. Once we were served the waiters were friendly & helpful.

Friendly staff, expedient service and great food! Both children and adults liked the place and the kids wanted to go back! I had the sea food pasta and the Tiramisu, and also tasted the carbonara and the home made vanilla ice cream, all excellent! Highly recommended! Book in advance.

The location is nice, a bit off the beaten path. The food was very good, interesting bruschetta with spinach and bacon. My only complaint was too-rapid service. We had not finished our starters before the main arrived.

Despite extreme rush still as late as 10pm, the staff managed to serve us with care and precision. The food quality was superb and excellent value for the money. Location and atmosphere was nice and cozy being on a silent backroad just a step away from the crowded Via del Lavatore. Classy gesture from the staff offering a glass of prosecco for the ones waiting on line to get a table. Despite this hospitality, we would recommend to book beforehand. Highly recommended!

A great find in the middle of all the tourist traps in the Trevi--Spanish Steps area. We went there two nights in a row. Once you find a good place you stick to it. Up a side street away from the noise below, the ambience is bustling but calm The menu is not extensive: it doesn't try to be all things to all people. But the food was delicious, The staff runs young and is very friendly and helpful. Mussels, fried artichoke, and pastas were all good.

I booked a table for 6 well in advance following a recommendation. On arrival, they did not have a table ready in the restaurant and directed us to a room across the alley. After my protest, they squeezed two additional chairs onto a table of 4. I wish we gad walked away, as we were crammed in. Food was reasonable, although one dish was over salty The stand-out feature was the sullen attitude of the staff. Not a smile from any of them. This is in complete contrast to any of the numerous establishments we've visited in the 5 days in Rome. A disappointing experience.

This restaurant was an excellent find!! We were wanting a local restaurant with excellent food and we were not denied. The bread was amazing, the house red wine was wonderful, the food…top notch. We had the arancio ravioli’s which were amazing and we all wanted seconds, the homemade pasta was to die for and the desserts…it was the best tiramisu I had in Italy!! This restaurant was busy so make sure you make a reservation. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The staff was super helpful and friendly! We should have gone back here the entire time we were in Rome, but we wanted to try other places.

Excellent service and amazing food at a reasonable price, especially for the location. Cooking is authentic, but they are also accomodating to foreigners (staff speaks English and menu has desciptions in English). We especially liked the carciofi alla romana.

This little restaurant had great reviews, perfect location after walking to the Trevi fountain. However, I ordered a mixed fried starter. The zucchini flower had a terrible taste, I ate half of it. I was the only one. I got food poisoning and was up until 4 am with v&d. Will not try again

We are terribly sorry to hear this. We hope you're feeling better now. Maybe do you have any food allergies by any chance? As stated on the menu, our zucchini flowers are filled with mozzarella, anchovies and black pepper and is fried in penauts oil. We do serve on average over 100 zucchini flowers for day and we've never heard of anything like this happening before, so we're really shocked to hear this, and we're sure that it is not possible that your illnes is due to our zucchini flowers. Once again, apologies for the inconvenience but we're are sure that it does not depend on us.

Enjoyed a nice Christmas Eve lunch in this small, warmly run restaurant. The minestrone soup was chock full of fresh vegetables and my son finished my order of spaghetti and clams. Loved seeing the proprietor greet “regulars” like family. We will return.

Overall the experience was very good. The food was delicious and service was good. The only negative thing about the night was our table was small for three people and not enough room around us as the staff and customers had to squeeze going in and out, kept nudging and hitting our daughter chair.

An Unforgettable Culinary Journey at Piccolo Arancio, Rome Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My recent dining experience at Piccolo Arancio in Rome was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we stepped into the cozy and inviting restaurant, we knew we were in for a treat. This hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the Eternal City delivered on every front, from delectable cuisine to impeccable service. The first thing that struck us was the warm and charming ambiance. With dimmed lighting and intimate table settings, Piccolo Arancio creates the perfect atmosphere for a romantic dinner or an evening out with friends. The elegant decor and soft Italian melodies playing in the background set the stage for a memorable dining experience. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at Piccolo Arancio offers a delightful range of Italian dishes, each one carefully crafted to perfection. We started our culinary journey with the Caprese salad, and the vibrant, sun-ripened tomatoes paired with creamy mozzarella were a delightful introduction to the meal. The homemade pasta, a highlight of Italian cuisine, did not disappoint. The Tagliatelle al Tartufo was a revelation, with truffle-infused cream sauce that danced on the taste buds. The Fettuccine Alfredo was equally exquisite, with a rich, velvety sauce that left us craving for more. For the main course, we indulged in the Osso Buco, a slow-cooked veal shank that was fork-tender and bathed in a savory gremolata sauce. The flavors were out of this world, and it was evident that the chef's dedication to using the freshest ingredients made all the difference. The wine selection complemented our meal beautifully, and the sommelier's recommendations were spot-on. What truly set Piccolo Arancio apart, however, was the attentive and friendly service. The staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also genuinely passionate about their cuisine. Their enthusiasm added a personal touch to our dining experience, making us feel like cherished guests. Dessert was the perfect way to cap off our incredible evening. The Tiramisu was a dream, and the Panna Cotta was a creamy, sweet revelation. We left the restaurant with satisfied palates and full hearts, grateful for the wonderful dining experience we had just enjoyed. In conclusion, Piccolo Arancio in Rome is a culinary gem that offers a genuine taste of Italy. From the welcoming atmosphere to the outstanding dishes and exceptional service, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to savor the true essence of Italian cuisine. I can't wait to return to Piccolo Arancio and explore more of their exquisite offerings. It's a dining experience I won't soon forget.
