6.5/10Dissent but really overpriced food. Poor setting overall (summer-like chairs, one person serving customers and washing dishes in the same hall, etc.). No feeling that you’re welcomed in this restaurant

10/10We went to Pierre Bois et Feu as two friends and had a very good dinner. The food was great and the service was very prompt and friendly. I would certainly suggest to anyone looking for a cosy dinner with good meat and wine.

10/10Lovely little restaurant with lots of character. Very good service by charming waitress. Entrecôte cooked to perfection and the finishing touch at the table carried out by the chef with old fashioned irons was a treat. Lovely burgundy to wash it down with. Amuse bouche and frisndises were also a lovely touch. Highly recommend the restaurant but essential to book.

10/10Fantastic meal. Fabulous foie gras and steak. Lovely dessert: marriage of crème brûlée and crème caramel. Attentive and friendly service. Couldn’t be faulted.

8/10The food was very tasty, especially, the quality of beef was great. The staff was super welcoming and the service was superb. Everything is very good except for boss. He is deeply racist against Asians. He gave two Japanese guests the finger, when they are leaving. I am just really confused and cannot believe what I saw. Because two guests are friendly and did nothing at his restaurant. After that, he said " fils de pute de chinois". I feel really uncomfortable at the end of my diner. Briefly, the food is really good, but the boss dont't want to asian people come.

10/10An experience! Chef and the staff are charming. Food is divine. Beef has to be tasted - tender succulent and top class and salmon was melt in mouth perfectly cooked. Could find no fault and loved our evening. For the theater and watching chef in kitchen and service, it is very reasonable. Thanks to all! Perfect evening.

10/10We had the entrecôte and the magret de canard, which were both excellent. The steak is very rare, even with the searing technique, so I had to ask for mine to be cooked a bit longer. They took it back to the kitchen, no problem, and brought it back à point (medium). For dessert, the crème brûlée is light and delicious. My son loved the assortiment of 3 chocolate desserts. Wine by the glass from an Alsatian producer was disappointing (I tried the Riesling and the Pinot noir).

10/10Although it's only a few yards from the Cathedral, the restaurant and surrounding area were quiet. The decoration is low-key but very pleasant. There was a well chosen menu and every dish was clearly prepared with thought and care, giving it a lift above the ordinary. It's not the cheapest option, but it was very good value for money. Well worth a visit.

9/10Variety of dishes is good. Quality is good. Though entrecôte was too rare. I understand that’s how local people prefer to have it, however, I would recommend to ask visitors how they want meat to be cooked. There can be dieting and religious aspects of the way meat is coocked

9.5/10We had lunch today. We asked for the menu, for starter we ate foi gras and salad. For the main course we ate brochettes and they we bigger than we expected, and accompanied by grilled vegetables, really good. For dessert we ate the chocolate one and it was also delicious, 3 different way of eating and enjoying chocolate

6.5/10Food was interesting and overall very good. Service was very poor. We arrived at 8:00 only two other tables then occupied so waitress should not have been that busy. 25’ edit for water and wine was unacceptable. Amuse by he brought out with nothing to drink. Had to ask twice for bread. If service had been better we would have stayed for dessert. Atmosphere cozy, nothig fancy. Would have d been nice to have a bread plate or an extra plate when sharing a starter. Chef seemed very proud of his beef iron. Brings out a fairly rare piece of beef and heats it table side with a large hot iron. Menu is beef heavy. The seafood dishes we sampled we recommend. Bottles of local wines at 40 euros plus were a bit pricey.

9.5/10The atmosphere is very romantic and your lady will be very pleased you took her to dinner here. The entrecôte is worth going back a second time for if you like a good steak. Book and be pleasantly surprised.

7/10Very good starter- egg in mushroom Sauce. Very high quality of meat- however you need to be a lover of blue/ or as I would call it raw meat to fully enjoy the experience. My filet was tender, the accompanying vegetables surely were not. I had never heard of potatoe al dente before. Dessert was ok. All in all we had expected far more and were a bit disappointed. Would not go there again.

10/10Visited on a Saturday night and we had prebooked a table. We had the 3 course menu. We were a bit disappointed with our starters but the mains and desserts were amazing. We would go again for sure.

10/10As I worked for some years in South Africa, great meat is for me my Nirvana :-) Not easy to get in Europe but at Pierre Bois et Feu I found one of the best meat (Cantal cows) for Europe. Well done! The Chocolate Dessert was a dream. The Chef came personally to our table giving some explanations about the meat origins. Everything was great including an excellent wine at a fair price. I would highly recommend this place!

10/10Very warm welcome, great food and excellent wines, friendly athmosphere, good value for money. A great experience, I have already booked for revisiting next year with a group of friends.
