Service impeccable , however the food did not live up to my expectations and I was a bit disappointed with the actual setting of the restaurant. For such an expensive experience the standards to be met are much higher than the ones offered

Very nice ambience, very nice reception. Unfortunately, the service staff sometimes spoke very quickly, rather indistinctly and quietly, which is a tiresome issue in many gourmet restaurants in Italy - but not in all of them. The wine wasn't topped up, even when asked, the sommelier was too busy and the other staff didn't hear or ignored our request. The white wine (Paleo bianco) was fantastic, we topped it up ourselves. The sommelier couldn't find the selected Spanish red wine (Ambrossar 2013) after a long search, we then drank a Pinot Noir at the very end, with dessert, unfortunately the wine wasn't so nice, and we also had to pour it ourselves again. When paying, I saw (found) the wine I hadn't found in the wine cellar itself, it was standing by the window (see photo) .... . All in all, service and sommelier not up to scratch, food very good. The location is absolutely breathtaking. A beautiful ancient Tuscan resort set amongst the rolling Tuscan hills and gorgeous vineyard. Our first Michelin rated restaurant experience - such a creative culinary delight!!
