The restaurant opened promptly at 7:30 pm, and a long line of people waiting to enter. I ordered a bottle of Bolgheri, Frittura Melanzane, and Carbonara. The food was exceptional, but the service left much to be desired. As soon as I settled into my seat, I ordered a bottle of sparkling water. The waiter cracked it open and left the table. He did not pour. Later on, he returned with the wine that I ordered then pour me the first glass and never returned. Also, I had to request a plate for bread to another server. Even though the service was fast not rushed. It’s just that the server was not really paying attention. No one asked how I was doing or if the food was good. The food was already great, but the service could use a lot of work.

My restaurant serves traditional Roman cuisine, and the service I aim to offer is attentive, friendly, and traditional. We had the tasting menu during our visit. The food and ambience were nice, and the staff were friendly. However, I would recommend checking your bill carefully. There was an error on our bill, and while we were reviewing it, the staff noticed and replaced it with a corrected one. Overall, we had a good experience.

Really nice place in Rome, relaxed and hidden down a small alley, service is excellent and the interior is great too. Food is decent quality, only thing was my chicken was a little gristly but other than that it was a lovely lunchtime meal with good wine and friendly servers.

The room was lovely and we had a comfortable table. The service was first rate-- attentive, good natured, and helpful in providing guidance. Each plate we received was delicious, and we had a wonderful night. The bill was reasonable-- we shared an appetizer and dessert, and we each had our own pasta and main courses, along with a bottle of wine and a digestif-- and the bill for 2 was 140 euros.

I have been eating in this restaurant so many times in the years, now I can say they’re friends, but the attention, quality of food, and above all the service is still the one of the first day. Everything excellent, nothing to add. Ernesto and Ido are really amazing.

The food was delicious and service was prompt without feeling rushed. The server was helpful and patient with our choosing courses and wine. The restaurant was recommended by a friend who owns a travel business in Spain and Italy and highly recommends this place to his clients. We loved it and highly recommend as well for a lovely evening and dinner tucked away in a beautiful dining room away from the tourist crowds.

Poldo e Gianna delivers top level Roman classics with class and style at a reasonable price. Ask for waiter Ido who will manage your evening meal with a smile and good humor. Bang for the buck is 10/10, it’s hard to do better than P&G. Auguri!

Food was ok but tepid instead of warm. Service was bad. No smile, no warmth, only contempt. Aperitifs were not offered on arrival. when I asked what they could suggest, the wan suggested to look in the menu. The starters did not arrive together neither the main course. The food was tepid and went even colder while we were waiting for the full round to start. No suggestions for after the meal. Poldo and Gianna will be ashamed of their grandchildren

Hello Olga, Good evening Olga, our restaurant doesn't offer a welcome aperitif, but when you requested one, the dining room staff showed you all the bottles and glasses of wine we have to offer, so you can create your own aperitif. Furthermore, traditional Roman dishes aren't served piping hot, as this would alter their texture and flavor. Very piping hot dishes are part of our country's traditional soup recipes. Fortunately, almost all of our customers have a thorough understanding of the quality of our restaurant and Roman cuisine, and are highly educated. I don't think my grandparents have anything to be ashamed of.
