10/10Did the Marsala fixed menu. Zero regrets. Served promptly. Paired with delicious wines that fit. Deserves all the praise it gets. Will return.

5/10Food was ok but tepid instead of warm. Service was bad. No smile, no warmth, only contempt. Aperitifs were not offered on arrival. when I asked what they could suggest, the wan suggested to look in the menu. The starters did not arrive together neither the main course. The food was tepid and went even colder while we were waiting for the full round to start. No suggestions for after the meal. Poldo and Gianna will be ashamed of their grandchildren

Hello Olga, Good evening Olga, our restaurant doesn't offer a welcome aperitif, but when you requested one, the dining room staff showed you all the bottles and glasses of wine we have to offer, so you can create your own aperitif. Furthermore, traditional Roman dishes aren't served piping hot, as this would alter their texture and flavor. Very piping hot dishes are part of our country's traditional soup recipes. Fortunately, almost all of our customers have a thorough understanding of the quality of our restaurant and Roman cuisine, and are highly educated. I don't think my grandparents have anything to be ashamed of.

Poldo e Gianna has a quiet elegance without being too formal. Two dishes really stood out as being exceptional, the eggplant ‘cubes’ starter which is a dish consisting of layers of eggplant, and a pasta dish that was on their October first course menu with ‘pumpkin’ and sausage. The service was excellent! After eating dinner out nearly every night in Rome for two weeks, this restaurant was a favorite!

10/10This restaurant was absolutely lovely and so accommodating with our reservation that had to be delayed a bit—I felt terrible, but they were incredibly warm and kind. I had the amatriciana and saltimbocca, and both were absolute perfection. Everyone really enjoyed their food and wine, and I will absolutely be back.

10/10Poldo e Gianna Osteria is a comfortable, welcoming little restaurant, tucked into an alcove between buildings. Our server was quick to offer recommendations and serve us wine he thought would best match our choices. (He was right. They were delicious!) We tried a couple antipasti, then had secondi, wine and coffee. A perfect lunch!

10/10Fabulous little find! Recommended to us by a friend who lives in Rome, and it did not disappoint. Tucked away in a beautiful back street setting – quiet and away from the crowds. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, bursting with flavour. Service was warm and attentive throughout. I’d highly recommend booking a table downstairs and asking to sit outside – it made the experience even more special.

9.5/10So happy we were able to get a reservation! They changed our table to accommodate being close to a ventilation device that was cold and blowing air! So nice! Our waitress was someone knowledgeable in wines and recommended a DOCG Lazio red wine which was wonderful and inexpensive, we loved it! Our neighbors ordered a wine that was double our cost and not a DOCG wine. We shared our dishes, they split them all! We had fried anchovies with sweet red onions, sphagettone with spicy sauce and veal, with potatoes. OMG! Great food, wonderful service, everyone around us happy and eating with great pleasure! Great restaurant!! 🥰

4/10Service was terrible, we felt like an afterthought. Courses were very slow to come, we had to flag down a different person than waiter to get another glass of wine. Clearing empty plates also was very slow. Ambience was bad, in the cellar with bright lights it felt very sterile. So disappointing.

I'm sorry you found these differences. Usually, the same dishes ordered are prepared together, so they should have tasted the same. You could have let us know about the problem; we would have been happy to prepare a new dish. From the moment that we arrived, they made us feel like VIP’s! Every part of dinner, they were extraordinarily attentive and made sure that everything was perfect. The quality of the food was fresh and the wine that we had them select was amazing. Unfortunately, we could not try the deserts, as all of the wonderful food filled us both up, which was my only regret!

9/10Delicious food, and a perfect dinner. The kitchen here is a cut above the v high standard in Rome. Innovative and delicious. This was the best saltimbocca alla Romana I have ever eaten. The high quality of the ingredients and the cook are obvious. The manager is attentive and organised. W

Great restaurant!. Simple, classic dishes with a classy touch. The excelent service and atmosphera of the place makes it a very nice experience overall. A perfect option if you are visiting Rome and want to avoid tourist traps. Prices are very reasonable according to what you get.
