It's always sad to read when a customer is not happy, it would have been constructive to talk to you at the end of the evening in order to understand what did not satisfy you.

Lovely upscale restaurant, great ambiance. Food was excellent. Love the bread basket and complimentary prosecco and lagniappe from the kitchen. Fish plated at the table and desserts assembled tableside. They did not rush you through the meal.

8/10Amazing old restaurant with wonderful atmosphere. Service was excellent and friendly. Initially we sat in the garden but we and our amuse bouche were bombarded with seagull poo ! We moved into the inside restaurant, which actually was more comfortable. The food was OK but not amazing for the price. Would we eat here again, no.

A beautiful location, just across a wooden bridge over a side canal that leads only to the restaurant. The staff are warmly inviting when you arrive. Well-spaced tables with linen tablecloths. The menu focuses on fish and seafood. We had oysters (two sorts) and a marvellous fish soup, followed by mixed fried fish, very well cooked. Desert was poached pineapple brulé. Service was impeccable. A memorable evening.

7.5/10Service was excellent. Food - a little disappointing overall. Decor rather shabby. I’ve wanted to eat here for years and years and had the impression that the place was of higher quality than it is. Perhaps it was over lit (too bright) but the walls are clad in cheap wood, the and most of the decoration was some u attractive pottery plates. Wouldn’t go back

Thank you for the review, we are sorry that the place did not live up to your expectations, what I can tell you is that the place dates back to 1500, the frescoes in the original rooms, and the ceramic plates are a memory that we keep, being plates of the association "piatti del buon ricordo" the quality of the woods that cover the room, are not poor but ancient

9.5/10What a beautiful restaurant this is, both in terms of food quality and ambiance! The local wine that was suggested was wonderfully paired with the food. Our only regret is that we couldn't eat more due to our age. If I had known about this restaurant and stayed even one more day in Venice, my wife and I would have returned. We will definitely come back again!

6.5/10I had been impatiently waiting for this visit due to reviews of TripAdvisor. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. The portions are extremely small. I had to order two staters and the main dish looked like a starter too.. I’m happy I ordered vegetables with. I’ve visited 53 countries and I remember the places with a special and unforgettable food. Poste Vecie is not the place which food special is. I was extremely upset. The bill was €82 with 20% discount of four dishes of weight 350 grams in total. I’m not an elephant but I’m not a Chihuahua.. The servants are nice- without doubts! The place is unique and the compliment of a free Prosecco was nice too but not the food. I’m ready to pay more but to have a better impression and experience, and the bigger portions. Ps: Scie Polenta should be served with a spoon… it had a liquid consistency and it was extremely uncomfortable to eat it with a fork. I don’t think this place deserves such a high rate

Dear customer, all portions, appetizers, pasta and main courses are weighed and the dishes are grammed, as you well said we rarely get a comment on the portions... symptomatic and curious to want the spoon with the scie😅 perhaps you need other types of places, where quantity wins, but quantity is not synonymous with quality I'm sorry

+1It is already 3d time we visit this place, and Poste Vecie has become our favourite restaurant in the area. Thankfully we have been able to visit it again during the current trip to Venice. Food is absolutely amazing and delicious, service is super professional and you always feel yourself like a special guest no matter how busy the venue is.

7.5/10Poste Vecie is cozy, antique, the staff is formal and polite, on the night we went some even seemed perhaps tense, the portions are on the small side so the delicious bread basket at the start of the meal is essential (we liked that the bread was coarsely salted), the desserts were the highlight.

2/10This restaurant has everything to be a complete disaster. The setting where we were put is a disgrace: there was mold on the walls, it was dirty, the smell was bad and the place is everything but well-kept. The mixed grill (fish) we ordered was badly prepared and the fish and scampi's were spoiled. It tasted awful. We did not eat most part of the food, while we still had to pay 38 euro per person just for the fish. By far, the worst experience in years. A true tourist trap!!

10/10We had a wonderful night with the staff and maitre’d of the restaurant. Food was excellent and so was the atmosphere- nothing but 5 stars from us. What was NOT good was a couple who decided to berate and harass patrons for having a jovial evening - two tables had lots of things in common & were chatting it up. Approached by one member of the couple to quiet it down.. he even mentioned he attended the same college as two of us, and stated the year… in response one of us said “ oh he graduated in 96,” his partner decided to insult us & told us where we live in NY is for poor people & then told us to leave. He also mocked what we were wearing and called us trash. Little did this individual know we are one of the largest holders of real estate in Manhattan- total snob and his partner was embarrassed. Ruined a perfectly good holiday dinner. Wealth doesn’t always have to show Mr if you’re reading this.

The food was amazing and the place was breathtaking, but the service was weird: one of the waiters was repeating our words in a funky way (like making fun of our accent). Other than that, everything was really nice.
