3.5/10First of all, I am Asian. It took a long time for the appetizer to be served, and after finishing it, we had to wait over 30 minutes for the next course. The Western guests at other tables were served their food first, even though we had been waiting longer. I asked for the bill, but even after waiting for a long time, it was never brought to me. I eventually had to go myself because I couldn’t wait any longer. I can’t help but wonder if it was because I’m Asian. Based on this experience, I strongly do not recommend this place to fellow Asians. 애피타이저 먹고 30분이나 지나고도 다음 메뉴 안주고 다른 테이블 사람들 메뉴부터 서빙하고 우리 테이블에 눈길도 안줌. (넓은 매장도 아님) 기다리다가 지쳐서 언제 나오냐고 물어보니까 준비 중이라고 5-10분 더 기다리고 나옴 겨우 먹고 영수증 달라니까 한참 있다가 영수증만 주고 계산하러 안옴. 그래서 내가 계산하러 직접 감 추천 안합니다.

The waitress is very warm and patient. She showed us the picture of each dish by her smart phone when we didn’t know what’s that. This really helped a lot. Also we were granted a 20% discount when we check the bill.

3.5/10The service was really poor. We had finished eating and were left with our plates in front of us for quite a while. Several staff members walked by and looked at them, but no one bothered to clear the table. Even after bringing us the bill, the plates stayed there. To make things worse, the bill didn’t include the discount from our TheFork reservation. When I pointed it out, they looked confused, as if they had never heard of it. I had to show the reservation myself, and only then did they apply the discount—reluctantly. As for the food, it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t particularly good either. Nothing that would make me want to come back. Definitely not going back. Unprofessional and inattentive service.

9/10The mixed fish for two was amazing, very fresh and juicy. We would go back just for that. Also appreciated that the restaurant was open all day and we didn’t have to wait until the normal Italian 7:30 pm to eat.

9/10Great good in a hidden gem GST’s away from the tourist crowds. Go after seeing Piazza di Michelangelo. Waiter rushed us a bit to order and never brought us bread but otherwise nice place. Wish they had an outdoor patio for dining on a nice day!!

5 minutes from Porta Veccio this resturant specialises in seafood.. Everything was fresh, flavoursome and very well prepared. Well worth a visit.

7/10When we entered the restaurant and told the guy at the entrance about the reservation I made, he didn’t even check the booking and pointed at the table closest to the door. One of our girls asked if we could be seated at the table at the further inside because it was freezing cold, and he said NO! then mumbled something about reservation - I didn’t exactly catch what he said. Later some other people came and asked for seat, saying they didn’t have a reservation, he put these people through to the table we were denied. Puzzled, when other table in the back of the restaurant was cleaned up I asked if we could move to that table because our table is right next to the door and it’s very cold. He said no it’s for the people who made reservations. I reminded him that we did made a reservation. He didn’t believe me so I said we did made a reservation, you can check on the system. He still didn’t check, but then he said ok you can use the seat - we felt we weren’t treated nicely at all.

The food really made up for the terrible experience. Everything we ate was 11/10 but just be warned, you will wait. It took us over 20 minutes after being seated to even be asked what we’d like to drink. I will say, the wait staff were amazing BUT there were only 2 of them for the entire restaurant. They did try their best but the owner let them down not having more people available. It took us over 2 hours to get our drinks, appetizer, main course, and pay/leave. Again the food was great and the staff did their absolute best but only 2 people cannot staff all the tables in that place which is 100% the owner/managers fault. I would avoid if you’re on any type of time constraint but if you are ok with waiting it is 100% worth it!

+1All of our dishes were expertly crafted. Flavors were impressive. All ingredients were fresh and of highest quality. Our main dishes were Risotto del mare, Spaghetti Principe del Mare, Pesce Spada (swordfish). We give this restaurant our highest praise because they deserve it.

+4While the food was generally fairly decent, the service was beyond terrible and it was incredibly hot inside the restaurant. The appetizers were so-so (prawn tartar, tuna tartar, salmon tartar and prawns in pastry). Main courses were better with pizzas, pastas and fish being very tasty. However,.our server was terrible and ignored us most of the time. He was a little rude and very dismissive. Never checked on us himself. We always had to find a way to get.his attention and we sat for about 25 min before he even bothered to offer us water. It was also very hot in the restaurant, probably close to 90 degrees and we were all sweating throughout the entire dinner. Told the server a few times and he just shrugged it off and ran off. Could not care less. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy eating dinner in a sauna with terrible service.

8.5/10The seafood pasta was full of sand. We asked the waitor to return it. We thought the item should be taken off from the bill. But only 50% was taken off. Why should we pay 50% for the dish we did not eat?

This year’s trip to Florence was our first time finding this restaurant and a great find it was! In the last three weeks we’ve been here 3x, yes it’s that good!!! I highly recommend the calamari with mozzarella, and pistachios drizzled with olive oil and the linguini w/octopus. On top of the fish dishes being great, the pizza is excellent as well. Definitely a new best restaurant in Florence for our yearly 6-8 week trip!!!

This is a MUST VISIT. I never write reviews but felt compelled to share this so that others can experience it. Simply put, the best food we have tried in Florence. After visiting several places, including Borgo San Jacopo (1 star Michelin), Principe del Mare has proven to be a hidden gem. Cost/quality ratio is way above anything else we have tried in the City. This restaurant is for foodies. Be awarex you are not going for the view, the decor or the service. We had the Octopus and the Calamari as appetizers, followed by the Tagliatelle and the Grigliata. Everything was superb! To top it all, we asked for some dessert and were surprised with the best Cheesecake we have had in years and an Apple Tart with Mascarpone that was mouth watering.

+1Great seafood, great service, and great atmosphere! We couldn't have asked for anything more. 5 stars all the way! We got the grilled seafood, fried calamari and shrimp (Fritto misto), shrimp and calamari with rice and then finished the meal with a caramel panna cotta and panna cotta with fruits! Magnifico!

My husband and I saved this restaurant for our last night in Florence and we’re very happy that we did. The seafood tasted so good and the service was quick and friendly. If you’re looking for a good seafood spot to visit I definitely recommend you check them out!
