7/10The food really made up for the terrible experience. Everything we ate was 11/10 but just be warned, you will wait. It took us over 20 minutes after being seated to even be asked what we’d like to drink. I will say, the wait staff were amazing BUT there were only 2 of them for the entire restaurant. They did try their best but the owner let them down not having more people available. It took us over 2 hours to get our drinks, appetizer, main course, and pay/leave. Again the food was great and the staff did their absolute best but only 2 people cannot staff all the tables in that place which is 100% the owner/managers fault. I would avoid if you’re on any type of time constraint but if you are ok with waiting it is 100% worth it!

10/10+1All of our dishes were expertly crafted. Flavors were impressive. All ingredients were fresh and of highest quality. Our main dishes were Risotto del mare, Spaghetti Principe del Mare, Pesce Spada (swordfish). We give this restaurant our highest praise because they deserve it.

4/10+4While the food was generally fairly decent, the service was beyond terrible and it was incredibly hot inside the restaurant. The appetizers were so-so (prawn tartar, tuna tartar, salmon tartar and prawns in pastry). Main courses were better with pizzas, pastas and fish being very tasty. However,.our server was terrible and ignored us most of the time. He was a little rude and very dismissive. Never checked on us himself. We always had to find a way to get.his attention and we sat for about 25 min before he even bothered to offer us water. It was also very hot in the restaurant, probably close to 90 degrees and we were all sweating throughout the entire dinner. Told the server a few times and he just shrugged it off and ran off. Could not care less. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone unless you enjoy eating dinner in a sauna with terrible service.

8.5/10The seafood pasta was full of sand. We asked the waitor to return it. We thought the item should be taken off from the bill. But only 50% was taken off. Why should we pay 50% for the dish we did not eat?

10/10This year’s trip to Florence was our first time finding this restaurant and a great find it was! In the last three weeks we’ve been here 3x, yes it’s that good!!! I highly recommend the calamari with mozzarella, and pistachios drizzled with olive oil and the linguini w/octopus. On top of the fish dishes being great, the pizza is excellent as well. Definitely a new best restaurant in Florence for our yearly 6-8 week trip!!!

10/10This is a MUST VISIT. I never write reviews but felt compelled to share this so that others can experience it. Simply put, the best food we have tried in Florence. After visiting several places, including Borgo San Jacopo (1 star Michelin), Principe del Mare has proven to be a hidden gem. Cost/quality ratio is way above anything else we have tried in the City. This restaurant is for foodies. Be awarex you are not going for the view, the decor or the service. We had the Octopus and the Calamari as appetizers, followed by the Tagliatelle and the Grigliata. Everything was superb! To top it all, we asked for some dessert and were surprised with the best Cheesecake we have had in years and an Apple Tart with Mascarpone that was mouth watering.

10/10+1Great seafood, great service, and great atmosphere! We couldn't have asked for anything more. 5 stars all the way! We got the grilled seafood, fried calamari and shrimp (Fritto misto), shrimp and calamari with rice and then finished the meal with a caramel panna cotta and panna cotta with fruits! Magnifico!

10/10My husband and I saved this restaurant for our last night in Florence and we’re very happy that we did. The seafood tasted so good and the service was quick and friendly. If you’re looking for a good seafood spot to visit I definitely recommend you check them out!

10/10I have been in Florence almost three weeks and anxious to try new places. But after I found this, I ate here more than once. I worked my way through different primi and secondi as well as appetizers. Nothing disappointed. I will be back and recommend it to others

10/10Excellent, non-fussy food at very reasonable prices, generous portions, attentive and friendly service, nice quiet neighborhood atmosphere: we loved this place and would’ve been happy to return. Kids next to us eating good-looking pizza while others had full seafood meals. Recommend for families. Everything looked good and we saw lots of smiles.

10/10Visit this restaurant after seeing the sunset at Piazzale Michelangelo. Walk down hill from Piazzale Michelangelo, it takes about 10mins to arrive. The restaurant is warm and quiet, with nice staff, introducing everything we want to know and giving constructive advices. Food is even better than expected. We like the fish baccala very much and the pizza can be customised to satisfy all your need. What a surprise. And the biggest surprise is it’s price. 4 of us ordered 2 starters, 1 first course, 2 pizzas and a desert, with water. All of these only take less than €70, what a surprise!!!
