9.5/10Food is great and service was good, however we find it unpleasant when you have to sit for 10-15 minutes before you get a drink or menu offered.

8.5/10Obviously popular, the staff were rushed off their feet and still managed to be happy and efficient. The food was good - the one disappointment being the risotto which was VERY overcooked. And that is the only reason I did not give the food a 5. So it seems a little unfair that the food score counts for 50%!

8/10Food was really good, the service very attent. Was a perfect dinner for us 6. I had vitello tonnato, maybe on this dish add more sauce and less cappertjes. overall all was good.

10/10Karakter is a real gem. The location is perfect - right in the heart of Arnhem - the staff is always kind and lovely, the food is of great quality and absolutely delicious. The portions are big in size, good prices, and short waiting time. Pretty outside dining area, with heating lamps. In addition, I have a gluten allergy, and they always showed good awareness and extra care. Nice to have also a gluten free option for beer. Long story short, excellent place under every point of view. Can’t recommend it enough! :)

10/10Probably the best prawns I've ever had. I nearly drank the oil from the bowl afterwards. Delicious main courses with very aromatic meats.

10/10The restaurant serves fine meals with no fuss about it. My wife and I chose the 3 course menu, which turned out as a good experience. The owner/waiter is nice and helpful. In Thursday the place was calm, but during the weekends you'd better make a reservation. The decoration with cover from 60's, 70's and 80's vinyl records is a journey back in time!

6.5/10Trip advisor says #1 in Arnhem, most definitely not the case. Food is very average and not very creative, rather sad wine selection. No music (albums on the wall would indicate there would be some...) and overall not much atmosphere. The staff was very friendly though. It wasn't a bad experience but with the reasonable selection of places in Arnhem, I wouldn't go back.

9/10The atmosphere was extraordinary! It makes you not want to leave. The food was delicious, but the meal was not very balanced. There was a lot of meat and not much else on the plate. Altogether it was a great experience and I would definitely visit again.

9/10Enjoyable dinner at Karakter, excellent food & service - would recommend it. We had goats cheese/bacon salad & tomato soup for starters, followed by black angus steak cooked to perfection (rare) and the duck, then decided on desserts of parfait & mississippi mud pie both delicious. Restaurant close proximity to Arnhem train station & Pathe Imax cinema.
