We had 6 course dinner option with matching wine. The focus of the dinner was definitely seafood: light but very inventive dishes, balanced, never over the top. Great bread, by the way, very tasty. The wine selection was superb: quite unique wines, with interesting grape combinations, not your typical ‘classic’ selection of well known staples. The service was excellent: precise, no fuss, with proper attention, again, well balanced. Great outdoor seating with view on the water and woods, very nice place to relax.

Came here based on the Michelin star, but found the food a bit disappointing. Granted, I’m just a lowly amateur foodie, but felt some of the flavors were poor. The black olive ice cream was inedible, the meat to vegetable ratio was minimal (smoked swordfish to asparagus), and my favorite soft cheese was “off.” (Over smoked and over peppered?). The ambience felt like a large dining hall and was a bit sterile. Service was good but slow. The bread and focaccia was excellent. Overall, our party of four was a bit disappointed for the price to food quality.

Everything at La Réserve Rimbaud is exceptional! The food is superb with attention to details, the service is excellent and the setting is beautiful! Everything is thought of with the outmost attention to details! It is a great pleasure to have a meal there. The entire experience is outstanding!

The setting is unbelievably beautiful. I’m glad we got there early so that we could watch the sun setting. Staff were lovely and the food was great. I would certainly recommend a visit.

The food was good but I wasn’t blown away by the entrées or plats principaux. [The desserts, however, were perfect.] Many different staff visited our table, so I’m not sure who was our server. Our main dishes were delivered without any description, which I feel was a significant oversight. The setting is gorgeous, and I especially enjoyed the rambunctious children kayaking downstream during our lunch. Might have been too stuffy without them.

Very disappointing. The place is beautiful right by the river but the food was not worth the Michelin star. The second we asked for English, half the staff disappeared and we were left off with what seems to be the intern. Overall, service was sub-par (it is symptomatic and telling that the bathroom was out of soap). Food was ok-ish. Lobster was good, squib felt a little dry and pulled right out of the fridge. Fish was good. Probably the best dish. Meat was roast beef. Add to it that the cheese was not a cart to choose from but a few pieces of comté (a very common French cheese) and it sometimes felt more of a upscale highway service area than a Michelin stared restaurant. Dessert was without any imagination (sorbet and fruits). Finally, I had to go to the counter to pay. I believe it is the chef who came to say hi at the beginning. He was nowhere to be seen at the end of the service. First time we did not visit the kitchen at the end of a meal in a Michelin star restaurant.

The location of the restaurant was great overlooking the river. The lunch set menu was delicious and well balanced. The wines suggested as an accompaniment matched the food very well. The service could have been more attentive and no one acknowledged us when we left.
