We enjoyed a spectacular meal at Retablo, thoroughly enjoying their fresh takes on traditional Sicilian dishes and their fantastic wine list. The staff was attentive and friendly, and we placed our trust in their hands as they made delicious recommendations. Standout dishes included the beef involtini, peperonata dusted with dark chocolate, and grilled octopus with spinach and stracciatella cheese. Also recommend trying the cocktails made with Sicilian gin. Would return in a heartbeat!

The food and service are outstanding. From start to finish, dining at Retablo was a treat. Katharina and her staff are delightful, thoughtful, and accommodating, especially of a solo diner. I highly recommend the risotto and DIY cannolo.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Retablo. The food was excellent and the service was very welcoming and efficient without being fussy. We would have returned to Not to have dinner at Retablo again but, alas, they were closed the next day for well deserved rest.

Quiet and romantic place in the historical center of Noto, near the Cathedral. Delicious food served in style. The beef cheek is sensational. Prices are high, but your pleasure has a price. It's a must try.

A superb restaurant. One of the finest my wife and I have encountered in Italy. We were warmly greeted by the owner who (at our request) told us the story of the restaurant and offered informed menu recommendations. Highlights included octopus amuse-bouche, shrimp risotto with unexpected sweet accents, tuna in pistachio crust and chocolate mousse. Also the bread basket was exceptionally good. The passion of the owner, chef and staff were obvious and added to our enjoyment. A bright, clean space tucked around a corner behind the Palazzo Ducezio. Very highly recommended.

Great restaurant with high quality food, even better than expected. We were 3 and chose different meals: all of us were more than satisfied by the high standard of the food. Bravo to the chef. Same feeling for the desert:: the desert of the day was super good, il canolo di casa also !

The location is central, a few minutes from the 'città di Noto' car park. The lady who served us (perhaps the owner) was evidently listless, tried to force a few courses on us, and when we chose other things she commented 'but look, it's expensive' (unbelievable but true). The food was fortunately excellent, the tuna with pistachio really fabulous.

Hello from the lady that served you! Yes, I'm the owner and I love my restaurant and my job and I do it as good as I can every day with love, passion and a big smile. I have never been listless all my life, I always worked hard. The excellent tuna you mentioned (exellent but you gave 6!!!!!!)was a special plate of the day so I have to tell my guests the price and I NEVER and I said, NEVER and I swear NEVER told one of my guests a sentence like that one you wrote. This is false, a lie. You are a very bad person destroyig people working hard as I do with all my heard and love every day. Hope to see you never again and I hope no other restaurant in the world has to come in touch with you.

We had reservations for two at this restaurant which was around the corner from our hotel. The owner was so friendly and passionate about her restaurant. She spoke English, German, and Italian fluently and was very good with all of her guests. We had the caponata with Modican chocolate. It was definitely a special dish that you can’t get anywhere else. We had the orange salad and tomato salad that were both very fresh and with the highest quality ingredients. I had the ricotta ravioli with pork and my companion had meat rolled with vegetables and other things. Both were very delicate and delicious. Not your average Sicilian dishes. Their homemade bread was also delicious and the staff was all very professional and courteous. If you are in Noto just for one night, or longer, don’t miss Retablo. The intimate setting only a block from the main piazza is convenient and yet off the beaten path. A romantic dinner spot that you will wish you could return to!

One of the best food experiences on my life! We had several dishes and all were really really good. From my personal opinion the Caponata with dark chocolate and the polpo were amazing! Give it a go you will not regret! The lady at the floor knows how to make you feel welcome! The location is really nice, something different to what you find in Noto. We will go back!

Super positive experience! We used the fork for the first time on vacation and attracted by the rating of this restaurant we decided to book. The welcome was immediately warm thanks to the owner and the welcome entree offered. Sardines and parmigiana opened the meal in style, my boyfriend being a red prawn lover, "risking" for the last review read, chose spaghetti, against all expectations they left him speechless. Delicious chocolate tartlet with a special mention of pistachio ice cream. I would have removed a few euros from the final bill, but when you eat well, they are all worth it. Well done everyone see you soon!

What a lovely surprise to find this small jewel tucked in a side street just off the corso of Noto. We loved the creative food, especially the caponata with chocolate, which beat any Mexican mole we ever had. The hostess, who is also the owner of the restaurant, is solicitous and gracious. She introduced us to the very young chef when we had questions about the food and he was as gracious. The restaurant has a stylish and pleasant decor and is very quiet. Highly recommended.

Sorry that 33 plates in my limited menu are not enough choice for you !!! The service is maybe slow because we need time to prepair and cook the food you liked. If you want to eat quick, next time go to a fast food! And finally the ambiance, candles, terrace with plants and trees, soft lights, some music, far away from the Main Street are no ambiance for you?? ???????????????? Last thing:: if you don’t like something you can give 4 or 5 When you give 2 it supposed that something very serious happened If you give 2 only because it’s not to your liking that means that you are a very bad person with no respect for people who are working hard trying always to give their best with a big smile! Hope to see you never again!
