Perfect visit. We had a birthday celebration, and they welcomed us with glasses of prosecco, and then arranged a candle on a cake. Service is exceptional, really very caring. The food was delicious, especially caponata with dark chocolate. Thank you!

+1We were in Noto for two nights and went to Retablo on the first one. The food was spectacular with the caponata being the highlight. The other dishes of the braised veal cheek, the special of the day ravioli, busiata with swordfish, chocolate torte, and canoli assortment(traditional Sicilian, chocolate, and egg cream) were also fantastic. The owner and her staff were also a highlight with very personable service striking up conversation with all the diners with her being multi-linguistic making it easy to interact. Due to this, we decided to come back the next night for dinner again which we also had the spaghetto with Sicilian pesto which also was fantastic. Overall this place has been the best food and experience on our trip in Italy. Can’t recommend this place enough. Must try if you are in Noto or close by.

My partner and I only had one night in Noto and chose to eat here from all the positive reviews we read and we were not disappointed.... the food was outstanding! We had the steak tartare which was new to the menu and was amazing, everything else we had was gorgeous as well!! The service was also amazing, the ladies are very attentive and friendly, they made the whole experience so enjoyable! Would 100% come back!

Beautiful outdoor terrace away from all the noise of the Main Street. Our dinners were excellent. The Italian Chardonnay excellent and the service fabulous!

The most amazing good we have eaten in Sicily. Our friend was not well so not eating and our server insisted (in the Sicillian way) on him having some plain pasta. He couldn't eat it but it was beyond delicious! I wish we had been hungrier as the canoli's looked amazing. Wonderful wonderful ❤️

We enjoyed a spectacular meal at Retablo, thoroughly enjoying their fresh takes on traditional Sicilian dishes and their fantastic wine list. The staff was attentive and friendly, and we placed our trust in their hands as they made delicious recommendations. Standout dishes included the beef involtini, peperonata dusted with dark chocolate, and grilled octopus with spinach and stracciatella cheese. Also recommend trying the cocktails made with Sicilian gin. Would return in a heartbeat!

The food and service are outstanding. From start to finish, dining at Retablo was a treat. Katharina and her staff are delightful, thoughtful, and accommodating, especially of a solo diner. I highly recommend the risotto and DIY cannolo.

My wife and I enjoyed a lovely dinner at Retablo. The food was excellent and the service was very welcoming and efficient without being fussy. We would have returned to Not to have dinner at Retablo again but, alas, they were closed the next day for well deserved rest.

Quiet and romantic place in the historical center of Noto, near the Cathedral. Delicious food served in style. The beef cheek is sensational. Prices are high, but your pleasure has a price. It's a must try.

A superb restaurant. One of the finest my wife and I have encountered in Italy. We were warmly greeted by the owner who (at our request) told us the story of the restaurant and offered informed menu recommendations. Highlights included octopus amuse-bouche, shrimp risotto with unexpected sweet accents, tuna in pistachio crust and chocolate mousse. Also the bread basket was exceptionally good. The passion of the owner, chef and staff were obvious and added to our enjoyment. A bright, clean space tucked around a corner behind the Palazzo Ducezio. Very highly recommended.

Great restaurant with high quality food, even better than expected. We were 3 and chose different meals: all of us were more than satisfied by the high standard of the food. Bravo to the chef. Same feeling for the desert:: the desert of the day was super good, il canolo di casa also !

The location is central, a few minutes from the 'città di Noto' car park. The lady who served us (perhaps the owner) was evidently listless, tried to force a few courses on us, and when we chose other things she commented 'but look, it's expensive' (unbelievable but true). The food was fortunately excellent, the tuna with pistachio really fabulous.

I have never been listless all my life, I always worked hard. The excellent tuna you mentioned (exellent but you gave 6!!!!!!)was a special plate of the day so I have to tell my guests the price and I NEVER and I said, NEVER and I swear NEVER told one of my guests a sentence like that one you wrote. This is false, a lie. You are a very bad person destroyig people working hard as I do with all my heard and love every day. Hope to see you never again and I hope no other restaurant in the world has to come in touch with you.

This restaurant is a gem off the Main Street in Noto. Friendly and multilingual owner and unique and amazing food options. It has become a must-visit restaurant when we are in Noto.

We had reservations for two at this restaurant which was around the corner from our hotel. The owner was so friendly and passionate about her restaurant. She spoke English, German, and Italian fluently and was very good with all of her guests. We had the caponata with Modican chocolate. It was definitely a special dish that you can’t get anywhere else. We had the orange salad and tomato salad that were both very fresh and with the highest quality ingredients. I had the ricotta ravioli with pork and my companion had meat rolled with vegetables and other things. Both were very delicate and delicious. Not your average Sicilian dishes. Their homemade bread was also delicious and the staff was all very professional and courteous. If you are in Noto just for one night, or longer, don’t miss Retablo. The intimate setting only a block from the main piazza is convenient and yet off the beaten path. A romantic dinner spot that you will wish you could return to!

One of the best food experiences on my life! We had several dishes and all were really really good. From my personal opinion the Caponata with dark chocolate and the polpo were amazing! Give it a go you will not regret! The lady at the floor knows how to make you feel welcome! The location is really nice, something different to what you find in Noto. We will go back!

Excellent meal in a gorgeous location. The owner of the restaurant is the best host, she introduced us to many local Sicilian dishes that we really enjoyed. Highly recommend & will go again.
