6/10I have been traveling in Europe for over 5 weeks. I've had some really amazing experiences at many different restaurants. As someone with celiac disease, my first and most important consideration is safety. Risotteria Melotti Roma totally achieved that. However, I found the service to be less than ideal. My waiter was impatient when I took a little while making up my mind. He forgot to serve me my first course, but rectified that. Basically, I found the service to be brusk and unkind. At the end, he asked for a tip.

We went because we are celiac but the food was so delicious that really, everyone can enjoy the risotto. There were a lot of different choices and each of the ones we ordered were flavorful and not heavy. The appetizers were tasty. Service was prompt. The gluten free beers were delicious as well. We are looking forward to trying their location in NYC, which is a little closer to home.

Pistachio risotto was incredible, the cheese on top with every bite was amazing. Also had the shrimp polenta appetizer, very creamy polenta and shrimp was cooked perfectly.

10/10The risotto is wonderful, specially the pistachio risotto. And the waiters and fun and efficient. The room is comfortable and gets you in the right mood. All in all a good experience.

10/10Probably one of the best restaurants we've experienced in Rome. Gluten free and everything made from the same "base ingredient" (rice). Great value for money with a relaxed atmosphere

10/10Staff kind and welcoming. My husband is coeliac and this restaurant is exclusively gluten free so it was great for him to be able to eat anything from the menu. Food was delicious and good wine too. They gave my husband extra gluten free focaccia to take away because they heard him saying it was the first time he had eaten bread in Rome. Highly recommend.

10/10I mentioned to my family that I wanted to have Risotto in Italy; it just so happened we walked by this restaurant an hour later. We did need reservations, how've everything we ate was delicious. Service was exceptional, they did not rush us, it's off a quiet street. Would definitely go back; good news, there's one in Florence, Milan and NYC.

The starters and risotto dishes were beautiful! Absolutely stunning across the board. The staff were encouraging and respectful when my husband tried to speak italian to them, and everything about this place was cosy and wonderful. Couldn't recommend enough.

4/10In a sentence I can sum up everything. Not at all impressed. Not even close to their location in NYC. Just 2 people serving the restaurant. The chef ( or the wanna be so) playing on his phone on the beck of restaurant. When we decided to seat on the back he seamed annoyed but kept playing on his phone. The service scarce. I did say in a sentence but it took a few more.

10/101st experience of a 100% gluten free restaurant. Excellent variety of risottos to choose, starters and desserts. Staff very tentative, tasty food.
