We were truly looking forward to dining at Al Focolare. However, we were deeply disappointed. My wife and i could not believe the poor quality of the dishes served. Two pasta dishes were soaked in tasteless ‘sauce’ and we only finished a small portion of the dish. On mentioning our disappointment to the waiter he simply responded by saying well that’s the way we prepare those dishes. Please look at the photo. Our meat dishes were even worse. My wife ordered her taglio di manzo as media cottura. It was served blue! My eye fillet at 25 euro was al sangue but was coated in an awful mash of pistachios and cream. We cannot recommend this restaurant.
