We've been to this restaurant three times now, and each time has been excellent! The passion that the chef has for cooking is on full display each and every visit. We highly recommend Ristorante Ferro!

Excellent food made with love and care! The octopus atop caponata was the best we have ever had! The ravioli with sea bream was equally good. And the panna cotta with pistachio cream was wonderful! We highly recommend this restaurant and will be returning!

Charming service, excellent food and very pleasant atmosphere. The menu has an excellent choice of dishes which are prepared very well. The welcome was relaxed and the service top notch

The food was excellent. We ordered the Salmon antipasto and it was delicious along with the Ravioli with Sea bass and Apple and Pear crumble for desert. It was all 10/10. If we were in Palermo longer we would go back again. I highly recommend Ferro for an extremely tasty meal and amazing service.

Amazing. As a Palermo native living overseas, i was very happy with the authenticity and quality of the food. Owners are also very friendly and knowledgeable.

We had an amazing dinner tonight. The service, the food, the atmosphere - all wonderful. Sea bass and Filet entrees were delicious. Highly recommend!

We had very attentive service starting with a gratis Spritz appertivo. The calamari and octopus appetizers were absolutely amazing and creative. We followed this with paccheri pasta with eggplant and swordfish, and ravioli filled with sea bream topped yellow tomatoes, pistachio, shrimp and stracciatella. The meal was paired with a delightful aromatic Grillo wine. The restaurant is a couple of blocks off the main tourist drag on a quiet side street and we loved sitting outside. It was quite popular on a Tuesday night and a few potential clients were turned away so be sure to make a reservation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

We’ve been in Sicily 8 days, mainly in Taormina, and this was the best meal we’ve had so far. We had the tuna steaks in sesame seeds. Fantastic!

It was a cozy and well served restaurant. With a not very large seafood menu but everything - form the antipasti to the dessert - was prepared with care and very good taste. Excellent personalized attention.

Lovely food beautifully cooked. My tuna with red onion jam was rare and perfect and my husband's sardine pasta a tasty and interesting mixture of flavours. The complimentary spritz was a nice touch and the standard of cooking justified the slow food.

Husband and wife team (I can only assume) were very sweet and attentive. Excellent service. My wife enjoyed the food and flavors, I felt it was just a bit under flavored and could have used a little extra salt or seasoning. We had the calamari with ground chickpeas (waterier hummus), sea bass ravioli topped with shrimp (way better than it sounds) and the filet. We spilt everything and was plenty for the 2 of us. We asked for the filet medium rare and came out rare but wasn’t a big deal b/c it was a nice cut. There were slight wafts of garbage and sewage and some stray cats, but strangely, added to the experience and authenticity of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

We had a perfect dinner at Ristorante Ferro. The current owners continue the family tradition of providing excellent food and service. Her dad would be very proud of them. My wife and I had enjoyed every course along with the recommended wine, and the dessert. Make it 2 perfect dinners - We did go back the following day and had the same extraordinary experience!

Delicious food in a welcoming, peaceful environment. From the start with a welcoming drink service was discrete, warm and appropriately timed. Food was amazing - melt in the mouth octopus, perfectly cooked tuna…this was the best food I’ve eaten in a long while and I was so delighted.

Delicious and imaginative menu, in a beautifully curated and modern dining area. Excellent food and service, at a reasonable price. Quiet on the night we went, but it is right in the middle of the off-season.

Delicious food, welcoming friendly service, when we decided to share something me starters they brought it divided onto 2 plates. It was all fabulous, with a welcoming aperitif included. Lovely evening.

Might be that we didn’t review the menu close enough prior to our arrival. We walked past two vibrant local restaurants with people waiting outside to be seated just to find we were the first to arrive at Ferrio at 8:10 for an 8:15 reservation. We felt rushed to order and chose a raw salmon appetizer that was okay. We then ordered two entrees of which both we barely edible. The Salmon Ravioli was cold and the Sardine pasta smelled and tasted like the sardines had been set out in the sun way too long. To be fair I don’t believe we were charged for the Sardine pasta as only two bites were consumed.

Il nostro non è uno street food ma un ristorante, i clienti solitamente si accomodano più tardi. Per quanto riguarda le due portate principali, i nostri piatti sono cucinati espressi, cioè al momento, è molto improbabile che possano essere arrivati freddi. Gli stessi, tra l’altro, sono stati serviti anche ai vostri vicini di tavolo, nello stesso tempo, e loro hanno fatto i complimenti per entrambe le portate che erano esattamente uguali alle vostre. Vorremmo farle notare, inoltre, che Il piatto scelto dalla Signora non era una pasta con le sarde ma una pasta con ragù di calamaro, salsa di pomodoro, olive taggiasche e capperi di Pantelleria. Quindi è impossibile che ci potevano essere delle sarde esposte al sole per lungo tempo. Nella stessa serata, per fortuna, abbiamo avuto una recensione, che può essere letta a seguito della vostra, che ci ha valutato con il massimo dei voti.

The best meal and restaurant experience we had in 3 weeks in Sicily. While food is spectacular, the owners and the staff are friendly, polite and lovely to chat with. If you are in Palermo, you MUST visit this little gem! You will have a great experience and leave happy! Thanks again Antonio and James

Per quanto riguarda i gas di scarico, il dehors è in pieno centro storico e purtroppo ogni tanto può capitare che passi una macchina che non sia apposto. Abbiamo eseguito il servizio come facciamo sempre sia per voi che per tutti gli altri clienti del locale. Pensiamo ci possa essere stata un’incomprensione iniziale, poiché avendo prenotato un tavolo per tre persone alle 21:00 ed essendovi presentati in 2 vi abbiamo semplicemente detto che avreste potuto avvertire perché avremmo sistemato diversamente la sala, dato che poi alcuni posti sono rimasti bloccati e inutilizzati. Ci dispiace nuovamente.

The food was magnificent. The salad starter in particular. The only problem was that the main courses were all warm and not hot. The plates were not hot either. The taste of the food was fantastic, just should have been hotter.

This is an amazing place, the best food experience we had in Palermo. The ambiance is nice and peaceful. The food is excellent, with rich taste and beautiful presentation, and respecting sicilian tradition with modernity. Octopus, fish, meat... all is perfectly cooked. A must try restaurant.

We decided to go to a special restaurant on our last evening in Palermo. So happy that we opted for Ferro! Everything about our experience was first class - from the welcoming Aperol spritz! The service is excellent, the food (& wine), absolutely delicious and the ambience just perfect. Thank you to the team at Ferro for an amazing final evening in Palermo.

Ridiculous service. Owners chatting away in the corner, not paying attention to their customers. Waited 20 minutes before even being served bread! Gave us a free Spritz at the beginning without even asking us (we dont drink). Food took over half an hour to arrive per course. Sauce was missing from my beef dish. They asked for my card to be tapped at the machine without telling me what the total bill was. Food was BLAND. I came because of the decent reviews. So disappointed! AVOID!
Ristorante FerroYou sat down at 8.15pm and went out at 9.30pm having a three-course dinner: appetizers, first course, second course. We are a Slow Food, not a Fast Food. We offer the aperitif free to customers, but we don't force anyone to drink it just say "no, thank you". In the beef fillet, as described in the menu, there is no sauce, but only a decoration with a reduction of blackberries. In the menu, there are the prices, and if they are not adequate, not we are offended if the customer decides to go to dinner at a place that is more suited to his budget. If a customer disputes something during service, we are always ready to try to remedy it and leave him happy. But when we clear away the empty plates and we hear "delicious..delicious", we do not expect to find a bad and very offensive review on our service. You have been attracted by the positive reviews from customers who appreciated our work as a demonstration of our commitment and seriousness. Instead, you invite people to AVOID US. What should we do? Close?
