10/10We had an amazing dinner tonight. The service, the food, the atmosphere - all wonderful. Sea bass and Filet entrees were delicious. Highly recommend!

10/10We had very attentive service starting with a gratis Spritz appertivo. The calamari and octopus appetizers were absolutely amazing and creative. We followed this with paccheri pasta with eggplant and swordfish, and ravioli filled with sea bream topped yellow tomatoes, pistachio, shrimp and stracciatella. The meal was paired with a delightful aromatic Grillo wine. The restaurant is a couple of blocks off the main tourist drag on a quiet side street and we loved sitting outside. It was quite popular on a Tuesday night and a few potential clients were turned away so be sure to make a reservation. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!

10/10We’ve been in Sicily 8 days, mainly in Taormina, and this was the best meal we’ve had so far. We had the tuna steaks in sesame seeds. Fantastic!

10/10It was a cozy and well served restaurant. With a not very large seafood menu but everything - form the antipasti to the dessert - was prepared with care and very good taste. Excellent personalized attention.

9/10Lovely food beautifully cooked. My tuna with red onion jam was rare and perfect and my husband's sardine pasta a tasty and interesting mixture of flavours. The complimentary spritz was a nice touch and the standard of cooking justified the slow food.

8.5/10Husband and wife team (I can only assume) were very sweet and attentive. Excellent service. My wife enjoyed the food and flavors, I felt it was just a bit under flavored and could have used a little extra salt or seasoning. We had the calamari with ground chickpeas (waterier hummus), sea bass ravioli topped with shrimp (way better than it sounds) and the filet. We spilt everything and was plenty for the 2 of us. We asked for the filet medium rare and came out rare but wasn’t a big deal b/c it was a nice cut. There were slight wafts of garbage and sewage and some stray cats, but strangely, added to the experience and authenticity of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

10/10We had a perfect dinner at Ristorante Ferro. The current owners continue the family tradition of providing excellent food and service. Her dad would be very proud of them. My wife and I had enjoyed every course along with the recommended wine, and the dessert. Make it 2 perfect dinners - We did go back the following day and had the same extraordinary experience!

10/10Delicious food in a welcoming, peaceful environment. From the start with a welcoming drink service was discrete, warm and appropriately timed. Food was amazing - melt in the mouth octopus, perfectly cooked tuna…this was the best food I’ve eaten in a long while and I was so delighted.

5/10Might be that we didn’t review the menu close enough prior to our arrival. We walked past two vibrant local restaurants with people waiting outside to be seated just to find we were the first to arrive at Ferrio at 8:10 for an 8:15 reservation. We felt rushed to order and chose a raw salmon appetizer that was okay. We then ordered two entrees of which both we barely edible. The Salmon Ravioli was cold and the Sardine pasta smelled and tasted like the sardines had been set out in the sun way too long. To be fair I don’t believe we were charged for the Sardine pasta as only two bites were consumed.

Ci dispiace che la cena non sia stata di vostro gradimento. Siete arrivati per primi ma successivamente il locale si è riempito. Il nostro non è uno street food ma un ristorante, i clienti solitamente si accomodano più tardi. Per quanto riguarda le due portate principali, i nostri piatti sono cucinati espressi, cioè al momento, è molto improbabile che possano essere arrivati freddi. Gli stessi, tra l’altro, sono stati serviti anche ai vostri vicini di tavolo, nello stesso tempo, e loro hanno fatto i complimenti per entrambe le portate che erano esattamente uguali alle vostre. Vorremmo farle notare, inoltre, che Il piatto scelto dalla Signora non era una pasta con le sarde ma una pasta con ragù di calamaro, salsa di pomodoro, olive taggiasche e capperi di Pantelleria. Quindi è impossibile che ci potevano essere delle sarde esposte al sole per lungo tempo. Nella stessa serata, per fortuna, abbiamo avuto una recensione, che può essere letta a seguito della vostra, che ci ha valutato con il massimo dei voti.
