7/10Lovely place to sit in for dinner. The waiters were attentive and charming but repeatedly offered us expensive alternatives to our expressed choices - with discounts, but still more than we wanted to pay. This became a little annoying. The food was fine, my grilled salmon was a little overcooked but fresh and tasty and my girlfriend's escalope had a very good mushroom sauce. The grilled veg was a bit uninspiring.

9.5/10A return visit, having had them on our list of favourites for some years. Some new staff but we are still made to feel welcome and remembered by those still there. Bresaola was tasty, and the pasta starter (lasagne) was perfect. Veal for the main course (lemon and mushrooms) cooked to perfection. Lugana as an accompanying wine is to be recommended - go for the more expensive one on the excellent wine list. Will be returning several times during our stay in Venice. Very reasonable price compared with comparable restaurants in England.

9.5/10The pizza at Dolfin is reliably good. It is our go-to place for pizza. Service is warm and friendly. It's just a great place to go when you don't want to cook at home.

5/10The food was fine but on the pricier side. Soon as we sat down a bottle of wine was recommended. Thankfully I asked the price and was told it was 40 Euros. Definitely not an authentic Italian restaurant. Was taken aback by the words “Tip not included” on bill holder. Definite tourist trap.

10/10Always a pleasure to eat here. Welcoming staff; nice atmosphere and convenient for our hotel in Santa Croce district. Tourist menu but also an extensive a la carte menu. Good choice of wines. Not expensive. Good idea to book in advance but not essential.

7/10The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and the service was decent. We both ordered pizza, which was just average in taste (not bad, just not great), and the price was fair for the items. We would consider going again but would definitely order something other than pizza.

7.5/10The food, quality and service of this restaurant is good. I have a huge issue with them in how they handled my bill. I paid the bill through TheFork. I got a confirmation that it process correctly and received a confirmation email receipt before we left the restaurant. BTW I had made the reservations through TheFork, and I had confirmed with them that my reservation was made through the fork when we arrived. They even showed me on their iPhone my reservation to confirm it was me. I had happened to mention to our waiter, which hotel we were staying at. When we got to hotel later that evening at 11 o’clock after a concert our keys would not work to our room. We went downstairs to get another set of keys, and the man at the desk refused to give us a key until we resolved our bill with the restaurant. Apparently the restaurant called them and said we had not pay our bill. I do not know why our hotel would get involved like this. They should simply have informed us of the issue and left it at that Obviously I have a huge issue with our hotel as well (Hotel Papadopoli). Even when I showed the man at the desk, the email receipt he refused to give us our keys and insisted on talking to the restaurant. After several minutes on the phone with the restaurant, they admitted that they found the receipt and confirmed that we had indeed paid. Only then would the man at the Hotel Papadopoli give us keys to our room. As I wrote, I have a huge issue with the hotel as well, but this restaurant should be very, very careful before they accuse a customer of being a thief.

6/10Pleasant little restaurant with an extensive menu.Comfortable setting.We had pizzas.There was supposedly a 20% online booking discount that only applies to pasta,so disappointing we didn’t get it.Staff were Ok,but getting a plain glass of water -with ice,is not encouraged by the surly face !

9.5/10Had booked for 7pm but arrived early and the restaurant was quiet. Lovely staff. A good and varied menu. Our appetizers of scallops and sardines were both excellent as were the pasta dishes that followed. Good desserts, if not homemade. In all a good and honest restaurant.

5.5/10Average food, salmon gnocchi were pretty nice but grilled sole was burnt, not really a great experience. Prices are moderate, service time felt long bearing in mind that there were only a couple tables taken. Plus for a wine selection, card is pretty generous and everyone should find suitable bottle.

10/10Cozy restaurant with menu in 5 languages and great selection. There were five people in our party and everyone was able to find something on the menu to enjoy. We shared seafood and meat antipasti and really liked them. Pizza, salmon, egg and bacon pasta carbonara, as well as schnitzel and escalope were good too. Service was very attentive.

10/10The restaurant had great reviews and a nice menu for a good price. The staff were all very friendly. The waiter made me a cold coffee, which wasn’t on the menu but was enjoyable. We had the mushroom and small shrimp tagliatelle and the prawn, artichoke, lemon tagliatelle. I was surprised by my dish as the lemon was only a hint in a tomato based sauce but I was happy about that. Both were extremely delicious and a good portion. I highly recommend theirs restaurant. We sat outside but it was busy both inside and out, great atmosphere.

6/10Fork discount is not valid on pizza and it's not even stated correctly in the app. Pizza wasn't good. Even tough the interiors are good, place was boring. It was good that they gave limencolle shots in the end.
