7/10The slow cooked turkey leg was delicious. The eggplant parm was very tasty but served luke warm. The server had a bit of an attitude from the start so I was afraid to send the cold dish back. Maybe doesn't like American tourists? We observed her being friendly with locals. I think the restaurant has potential but there are better places to eat in Rome. Honestly, disappointing.

5.5/10Initial greeting was unfriendly. Waiter initially insisted we both had to have the special menu. After some discussion and in a displeased tone he said he would let just one of us order the special menu - which is what we wanted and expected. Then when it came time to receive the plate that came with the special menu, he told us he had no more plates and provided one from another restaurant. We were very disappointed as that was the main reason for visiting the restaurant. Eventually he found a plate but it was chipped in two places. So we ended up with a plate from elsewhere and a chipped plate from Romane. Did not match the standard of other Buon Ricardo restaurants we have visited. 😞

5.5/10A little bit of a disappointing experience. The female waiter wasn't impolite, she just didn't care and wasn't very forthcoming and friendly. Futhermore she seemed annoyed of our few questions to the winecard, that consisted only of natural wines as she informed us. Finally she recommended a white wine to our chosen menu. Not a great succes. Too much natural taste..... Generally the food was okay. Fresh seasonal ingredients, well prepared, abundant portions and good taste. But not worth a journey. Similar quality is easily available at other restaurants. Next time we visit Rome, Romané won't be our top priority.

6/10+1The food was average , we asked for many dishes and the waitress didn’t advice that it was too much , we left half of the pasta and main courses . We will not come back , we went because it was recommended as a big gourmand in the Michelin guide, they should come back .

8/10Bit of a mixed review here -- the service and ambience were really good, but the food was a little disappointing. On the latter piece, the fried artichoke I ordered tasted a little rancid and the pasta that I ordered felt a little under hard (i.e., it wasn't quite cooked to the al dente point).

8/10Sincerely we had high expectations on the place, so this might have influenced the perceived quality that was not at the level we immagined. Staff is super kind and professional but food is not the top notch, I didn't have Wine but went through the list and it is very well done !

6/10It was not a good experience. I made a reservation a while before. They sit the 3 of us in a table for 2, squished between the wall and another table while several couples were in a table for 4. After more than 15 minutes while we were sit and the only waiter in the restaurant did not came to our table, we left to another place. It is not worth to go that far for this experience.

9/10This was a great find. Service and food was great. Especially the appetizer parmigiana de melanzana and the pasta amatriciana. The leg of lamb was a large portion.

8/10We came here based on the Michelin Bib Gourmand review. The original location is closed but there is good signage sending you across the street to this location. Our main dishes were very good, the pasta I give five stars and the desert was off the charts amazing. I had the sheep’s milk ricotta with sour cherries. That alone is worth a visit!! It didn’t hold up to the excellence of many of the amazing Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants we have tried but it was definitely a good spot and recommended.

6/10Was pretty disappointed with the food given the hype. Have been to all the major players in Rome and this was average compared to most of them. Disagree with folks saying the waitstaff was rude, though - they were exceedingly kind to us!

10/10Excellent, tasty food. Fried breaded goat cheese with a delicious dog jam was one of our apps, carbonara pasta was a meal. All was fantastic. The staff was kind, the dining room is a smaller area, but the energy was high and staff was very kind and willing to work with us two Americans! Would love to go back and try something different as menu items looked good.

2/10We were hugely disappointed for a Buon Ricordo restaurant. The service to start was very rushed and crazy- the “plate “ was a 5 course tasting menu but my husband was also required to do a 5 course menu. After telling us that waiter immediately wanted our order- my husband hadn’t even had time to look at the menu let alone choose 5 courses. We tried to slow things done by ordering wine but when they brought it the wine tasted “skunked” so we chose another and it was worse, waiter said they only served “natural “ wine so we just “weren’t used to the taste….”we settled on their house Cab by the liter. All this time the other waiter kept asking for our order. Order goes in and then dinner…and a huge disappointment. Every course was unusual but the pasta course ( both of ours) was so salty you could hardly eat it. The Pollo alla Cacciatora was actually the “plate” and it consisted of 2 sad chicken legs in a thin sauce, I honestly could not believe the presentation. Overall all the meal was unusual and not in a good way- maybe, like the wine, we just “aren’t used to the taste “ but we have about 25 plates in our home and have never experienced that kind of meal before. Cannot recommend.

7/10The food was lovely - especially the starter and the pasta. Probably the best carbonara I have ever had. The waiter gave us another wine than we asked for (more expensive) and there were a few other misunderstandings in the communication. But overall a very nice place with lovely authentic food! Would definately go back.

10/10Great food and awesome service – that's like a match made in heaven for anyone, and it totally blew us away when it came to the Romanè restaurant. We had a big group, so we got to try a bunch of different dishes and appetizers from the menu, and let me tell you, everything was seriously delicious. And speaking of big, the portions here are no joke – you won't be leaving hungry, that's for sure. I'm definitely planning on coming back because the food is just too good to miss out on.

10/10From the moment we entered and saw all the plates of some of Italy (and Europe's) best restaurants on the wall, we knew we were in for a top notch experience. The menu was fantastic and full of traditional Roman specialties. This was the true locals Roman experience we wanted. The Amatriciana was mind-blowingly delicious and absolutely the best I've ever had. Perfectly crispy (but not too crunchy/powdery) guanciale and a sauce of pure magic sent this pasta over the moon! Their wine list is based on organic, natural and biodynamic wines. As a sommelier, I was blown away by their selection and incredible pricing. This was one of the least expensive meals we had in 2 weeks in Italy and by far one of the best too! Do yourself a favor, run don't walk to Romanè. They are worthy of a Michelin Star!

10/10This is a fabulous local place in a very quiet (as in few tourists) neighborhood just outside the Vatican. The food was excellent, the portions were generous, and the service was personal and superb. I highly recommend it.

9.5/10Delicious home style Roman food. Not light, bring your appetite. Tripe was excellent as was asparagus pasta and leg of lamb. Great hospitality, sorry that we had to rush away to meet some relatives arriving from airport instead of relaxing and finishing the meal.

10/10Amazing wine, food and service. We had tripa, carbonara, lamb and tiramisu. I Would recommend all of the dishes. Waiters were very attentive. Inside area is preferable but only because of the traffic outside.
