The food was delicious, everything we ordered was cooked to perfection and was very tasty, the owner and the staff were also very nice and attentive. The experience was so good that we came back the next day

The setting was small, intimate, but lively and comfortable. The food was traditional Portugese tapas as well as entrees. It had an extensive wine menu from many local areas. We enjoyed the beef bites with garlic, and the pork cheeks, with salad, everything was tasty. We would dine here again if visiting this area.

Superb meals in Sintra. We ate here twice in three nights, one tapas meal, one night fish main courses excellent quality.

We had the most marvellous evening in this cosy, friendly, restaurant tucked away in the centre of Sintra. The food was delicious, the service, friendly and attentive and the intimacy of the small, busy restaurant was just lovely. There were couples and larger groups of friends so it appeals to many, it seems! You will probably have to book if you want a seat!

It was a cold, wet day so the refuge of this cosy restaurant was very welcoming. Staff were friendly and the black pork cheeks with mash was delicious.

Good environment with varied clientele, attentive but unobtrusive staff and traditional food served with a bit of a modern twist. Very fair prices if you consider the location.

Very good food . Straightforward Portugueese cuisine. The food and wine prices are very reasonable. You will not be disappointed. Recommend making reservations. The place is small and fills up quickly

What a superb restaurant! The food was so tasty. We both had the duck main course, and for dessert it was strawberries with port and ice cream for one and the ice cream cake with almonds and hot chocolate sauce for the other. The staff were perfect being friendly, attentive and able to joke with customers too. A really lovely atmosphere inside. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you are ever in Sintra.

This little restaurant tucked away next to a church in Sintra’s historic centre is delightful. Intimate but not fussy. The food was delicious, especially the black pork starter and the black pork bochechas were sublime. A great wine selection and, unusually for most Portuguese restaurants, a great dessert selection. The staff were attentive without being intrusive. Loved it.

It is a lovely, traditional and small restaurant in Sintra. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. Always make sure you make a reservation, otherwise you might get dissapointed ;-)

+1The food is great. Although the place is not easy to find, as it is on the second floor. The waitress is very patient and speaks good English. She even told me where to stop the Bolt for this restaurant, although it is a little bit far from the restaurant. Anyway, we love the environment and had a good time there.

This lovely local restaurant was recommended by a dear friend who lives in Sintra. We celebrated a birthday with an excellent meal and the service was excellent throughout our dinner. Everything was great and there were no negatives whatsoever. Several days after we had visited, the restaurant contacted our local friend and had reported that they had found some personal property we had left behind. It was a gracious gesture by the restaurant. We will always return there when in Sintra, not only for the great food and hospitality, but also as a thanks for their honest and appreciated gesture.

Romaria de Baco was an absolute highlight of my time in Sintra. From the moment we walked in, the calm and cozy atmosphere set the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The space is intimate and quiet, perfect for enjoying great food without distractions. The service was outstanding. Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it made a big difference in the overall experience. Now, the food is absolutely incredible. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care and thoughts that go into the menu. It’s the kind of place where you want to try everything. Without a doubt, this is a 10/10 restaurant for me. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town. Tip: Be sure to book a table in advance. There was a warm welcome, delicious food and wine with several gluten free options and a good atmosphere. We ate there 3 nights running and were remembered and welcomed warmly by the cheerful, professional staff. Thank you for a great experience each night.
