It is a lovely, traditional and small restaurant in Sintra. Food was delicious and staff very friendly. Always make sure you make a reservation, otherwise you might get dissapointed ;-)

The food is great. Although the place is not easy to find, as it is on the second floor. The waitress is very patient and speaks good English. She even told me where to stop the Bolt for this restaurant, although it is a little bit far from the restaurant. Anyway, we love the environment and had a good time there.

This lovely local restaurant was recommended by a dear friend who lives in Sintra. We celebrated a birthday with an excellent meal and the service was excellent throughout our dinner. Everything was great and there were no negatives whatsoever. Several days after we had visited, the restaurant contacted our local friend and had reported that they had found some personal property we had left behind. It was a gracious gesture by the restaurant. We will always return there when in Sintra, not only for the great food and hospitality, but also as a thanks for their honest and appreciated gesture.

Romaria de Baco was an absolute highlight of my time in Sintra. From the moment we walked in, the calm and cozy atmosphere set the tone for a truly memorable dining experience. The space is intimate and quiet, perfect for enjoying great food without distractions. The service was outstanding. Every member of the team was kind, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. It’s clear they take pride in what they do, and it made a big difference in the overall experience. Now, the food is absolutely incredible. Every dish we tried was bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. You can tell a lot of care and thoughts that go into the menu. It’s the kind of place where you want to try everything. Without a doubt, this is a 10/10 restaurant for me. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be coming back next time I’m in town. Tip: Be sure to book a table in advance. There was a warm welcome, delicious food and wine with several gluten free options and a good atmosphere. We ate there 3 nights running and were remembered and welcomed warmly by the cheerful, professional staff. Thank you for a great experience each night.

From the outside this place doesn't look like much but a friend had told us the food was great. From the inside this place is cozy, and quaint, and my friend was right the food is fantastic! Everything we had was great and the prices were very reasonable. In fact we went back for lunch the next day!

Very careful attention to detail have a very welcome staff. I enjoyed the slow cooked pork in my wife the Hake. Both were beautifully prepared and served. The restaurant is small and intimate. The wine list was an extensive list of local wines at reasonable prices.

This was probably the best meal we’ve had in Portugal so far. It was amazing! The Black rice was amazing the black pork with mashed potatoes was so tender and delicious and the tenderloin with port sauce was also tender and delicious. The staff was very nice. Highly recommend this really cute restaurant!

Cozy restaurant with only a few seats. Sets a great ambience for wine tasting while eating authentic portuguese dishes. We had the bife com ovo e batatas fritas and a bacalhau à bras with the soup of the day. Definitely recommend and absolutely need to reserve your table.

Oh my gosh! This restaurant was amazing in Sintra! We stopped to have lunch on our hike between Castles. Our service was great and the staff was so kind! We were wanting to try traditional Portuguese food and this place was great. Our server (who we believe was the manager) offered us cheese that was made the day before! We've never had it so fresh! We had the garlic shrimp, croquettes, soup of the day, and mushrooms (the local way to make)! She also recommended wines and it was awesome. Most memorable food/experience we had in Portugal!

A very cosy spot, hidden in the heart of the Sintra villa center. One might be deceived by its looks on the outside, being sandwiched in between a local church and an information center, though upon entry you are welcomed into a tavern-inspired, warm and hearty restaurant, that serves nothing but perfect, comfort dishes to suit any taste. Will definitely go back, whenever possible!

This adorable little place was the best meal we have had so far in Portugal. The atmosphere was amazing. We ended up getting a number of tapas and dessert and everything was so delicious. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed the ambiance and the food. The portions are very large so come hungry. The quality was excellent and there are lots of options on the menu. I suggest you make reservations because it is a small, busy restaurant.

We selected this restaurant based on gluten free options for our son. The menu clearly indicates the main allergens which made meal selection easy. The food (gluten and gluten free) was excellent! The food was very flavourful and the portion sizes were good. We loved the food and the service so much, we returned to dine here the 2nd day. After 5 days in Portugal, this has been our best dining experience so far. This is not a large restaurant and a reservation is recommended.
