6.5/10Very nice restaurant ambience. Service was below average, nothing wrong but not really that attentive per se. The problem here is the food - I am truly shocked this place has such high ratings. All 4 in our party agree. The pasta dishes were good - fine, not great. The appetizers were not good - the burrata with tomato and basil “boba” balls was almost flavorless. It was a beautiful presentation - but that’s it. Tomatoes had no special flavor, neither did the burrata. The other appetizer was the 63 degree egg. It is basically a slimey cheesy eggy soup thing. Kinda not nice. The price to value ratio is like really bad here. Do not go. Sorry, but it’s true. Maybe poor management- not sure - as we were leaving there was some small argument or whatever between two staffers - probably no big deal as I don’t understand Italian - but you just don’t see two professionals having some sort of annoyed / angry face. Wasted my time writing this but hopefully it can help others.

Lovely ambiance and friendly service. The food was a bit on the salty side for an Asian palate, and the Telle Telle texture was slightly inconsistent — some pieces were a bit undercooked or too firm.

9/10Very attentive service and beautiful ambience. Located in a nice historic building. Food is very good. Excellent fusilli, turbot and tiramisu. Shrimps didn’t match the quality of the other dishes. Overall a very good experience.

10/10Delicious and eclectic food options and impeccable service. We had the pasta with red shrimp and squid (seafood was cooked for us optionally), the turbot fish filet, and veal ravioli. Afterward, we enjoyed a cappuccino and wild berry tea!

+10What an oasis in the middle of Florence. Service, decor, ambience, quality, pace, space, price point and taste are all exceed my expectations. As we visit Italy often, I’m glad to find this place to relax and enjoy. Will absolutely recommend and definitely will return to this establishment. What a delightful discovery.

Salotto Portinari provided us a wonderful meal, served with care and kindness, and made a birthday observance unforgettable. This restaurant occupies the (now roofed with glass) courtyard of a palazzo turned to hotel use, located on a lovely block of the Via dei Corsi in the heart of historic Florence. Not to be missed!

We had a pleasure to choose Salotto Portinari for our lunch and were amazed by a grandeur of the interior, great ambiance, fantastic and attentive service, of course not mentioning highly qualitative food! Highly recommend it! We will be back :)

Beautiful restaurant with great friendly service and good food! I enjoyed every bite of the meal and nice white wine that was suggested by the waiter Amadeo. He was very helpful and friendly.
