Our best meal in Venice. Lovely setting and food. My sesame encrusted salmon was cooked perfectly. The tuna was tender and sushi grade.

8/10Great place and good food. But I ordered grilled scampis for dinner and there was only scampis in the plate, nothing else. I thought that it was a full plate with vegetables or potatoes.. Only 5 scampis. It’s good to know that you have to order sides.

8.5/10The outside space was so lovely. The service was attentive and respectful and the food came out in a perfect rhythm. The food was good, Venetian Italian food is definitely different from other areas of Italy. But, the flavors are interesting and the presentation is lovely

9.5/10The flavor of the food was excellent, well balanced and delicious. If they would remove the lobster shell and put more actual lobster meat, it would have been perfect. Clearly they know noone eats the shell, so why put it there for show, especially when the meat is very sparse for the price. The eggplant Parmesan was super tasty..

We came to this restaurant the last time we visited Venice, and it was one of my favorite meals. Of course, we had to come back on our current trip. San Silvestro did not disappoint. The waiters were fantastic, the food was delicious, and prices were fair. I highly recommend this restaurant.

10/10The staff was gracious enough to let us arrive. 15 minutes late. The food is delicious (vegan options available)? excellent service, and I appreciate a waiter that will 1) not let us order something by mistake OR 2) makes pairing suggestions :-) The limoncello at the end was the cherry… err, LEMON ON TOP!

7/10Seated quickly with a reservation. Brought bread and breadsticks and drinks order taken. Price point quite high so only ordered a second course, grilled scampi and lamb chops. Side of potatoes with lamb and rocket and Parmesan salad with scampi. Small portions not worth money paid.

The restaurant was nicely decorated but it was quite hot sitting inside. The menu was quite extensive and offered lots of options. The waitress took our order dropped off the food and that was it. She gave minimal service. The possible manager was lovely and towards the end did speak with us. I ordered the sea bass which was the catch of the day and it was an entire fish. Bones and all. Apparently they normally remove the bones when the fish is ordered just not for me. I didn’t like the bones so my husband switched with me. He ordered the lobster pasta. Quite delicious. I almost forgot the caprese salad that was excellent. Overall we liked the food but found service was lacking.

They are known for their seafood here! Must try the Pacherri and the tiramisu is exceptional. The steak comes on a hot metal plate so request it rare then remove quickly so it doesn’t over cook. Great service and highly recommend you make this a stop when visiting Venice.

the starter of raw fish is not as fresh as I expect but the oyster is quite good, the pasta of squid ink is good
