We loved this restaurant with its vintage look. The food was excellent! Prawns in garlic butter, and oyster as starters. Sole à la meunière and grilled grouper as mains. And a lime meringue cake and flan as dessert. The wine was delicious. The service excellent and friendly. We will definitely go back when visiting Lisbon again.

4.5/10Literally the worst service we have ever experienced. We were made to feel uncomfortable and unwelcome in the restaurant. The food was sub-par. This is the first bad review I have ever given.

10/10The ambiance and service are excellent. The waiters were excellent with service at a level that is hard to find today. The food was very good, had a traditional cod dish and grilled octopus. Oysters were excellent. Will definitely go back in the future.

7.5/10We were looking for a typical Portuguese dining experience and were recommended Restaurant Sancho. First impression on arrival was pleasing but the over attentive nature of staff left us feeling that decisions of menu choice and wine were made for us rather than letting us choose freely ….. it wasn’t after all, “table d’hôte” or a restaurant “taster” menu. No complaints about the quality of the food nor the pared wine that was indeed selected for us. Opportunity to decide on dessert was a rushed affair with a rather “fast” trolley, all of which looked delicious but we don’t do dessert as a rule. We considered a “porto” and were offered the waiter’s choice rather than a recommendation from the list. We declined but were given a complimentary vintage, perhaps to ease any misunderstanding? On the bill, there was a significant cover charge plus one for cheese on the table upon arrival despite the menu stating otherwise unless ordered by the customer. A bitter sweet experience overall.

8.5/10Food was excellent. We had early reservations so noise was moderate. Two servers for room of 12 tables. Server was assertive on what dishes he wanted you to order. Attentive when food was coming out, but very hard to get his attention as tables filled. We waited 30 minutes to get bill after getting his attention.

8.5/10Good environment, very good service. What is not good is to be charged at the end for olives and water with not advise. Something that should be remediated in benefit of the restaurante qualification.

4/10Mediocre food, nothing special. From the moment we arrived one of the waiters was just rude. We were made to feel as though we were an inconvenience. Really off putting and disappointing. Not much of an atmosphere either.

5.5/10Maybe I still don't "get" traditional portugiese cuisine but everything I ate hier was quite dull and mediocre. The food is very plain and it is done without any imagination or inspiration.

9.5/10Exceptional service and quality of the food! We weren’t very hungry and ordered two starters and decided to divide one main dish, which they gladly accepted (it was a very pleasant surprise, as I don’t think anyone would let us divide the main dish in another restaurant of this rang). What’s more, when it came the time for the desert, they offered us to take one half of one desert and another of half of a different one - again that’s something I haven’t seen any restaurant to propose ever, but it was incredibly kind of Sancho. We will return there 100%.
