9/10Had high expectations when visiting this restaurant. We took the 7 course menu. The food was excellent and the wine pairing was fabulous! We typically don’t like champaign but the pairing with spaghetti and sea urchin was absolutely delicious. And so were the other pairings with many interesting conversations with the sommelier. Indeed many red wines but they are our favorites. Allergies were perfectly taken into account. The service went too fast to our likely but slowed down after a comment. At one occasion the knifes were not sharp enough. And the English of some waiters was difficult to understand. After dinner we were offered to take friandises with us, which is quite unique in our experience. All in all a great evening with real Italian dishes and wines 😊🇮🇹😊

10/10What a beautiful setting within an old stone tower. Service was 5 stars and the food was quite delicious. Now, this is a high end foodies dream, not your typical Italian restaurant. The food in this place is Extremely sophisticated, worth their two Micheline stars. Expensive but worth it if you like a very fancy type meal. You will never be able to replicate what you get served.

10/10The staff was accommodating to my family and our needs. They are all very kind and welcoming. We enjoyed every single dish and appreciated how detailed and delicious everything was. They deserve their Michelin stars. An absolute pleasure to have dined at Santa Elisabetta. Will be looking forward to the next time.

10/10Enjoyed the Asian influences in the dishes - yuzu, coconut, lychee. The attention paid to local foods and traditions but updated was perfecto. The recommendations for wines was on point. Service was outstanding. The room's history was most interesting, 5th century, original stones and a women's prison. I went for lunch and would do dinner the next time.

6.5/10We had great expectations for this restaurant - a 2 star Michelin! Overall, it was a fine experience but clearly below our expectations. Service is quite professional but pointlessly old-fashioned and formal: there is truly no need to change napkins several times during the meal or change glasses for water when switching to dessert (heard about the environment?). As to the food: we had the fish/seafood focused menu. The red prawns were excellent, as well as the turbot. The bottoni pasta with cuttlefish were a bit disappointing: cuttlefish was very tasty and the chard-based brown sauce wonderful but the pasta itself was a bit bland and chewy. Smoked amberjack was fine, but nothing exceptional. The dishes are subtle, too my (personal) taste they lack a bit of strength in flavour. They also assemble a bit too many ingredients - simplification might be welcome in favor of intensity. The chef has a bit of a sweet tooth (white chocolate, etc.). The dishes are small and overall the place lacks a sense of generosity (we had to wait for a good 15' until anything materialized on the immaculately white tablecloth). Great winelist and good counseling from the sommelier - an amazing 2016 Muller-Thurgau, reasonably priced by the standards of the place.

10/10Flawless service, perfect in every inch. The dishes are unique and the location is as medieval as it can be. It can without any doubt be a three star experience. Looking forward to returning sometime.

10/10A fabulous affair; lunch took nearly 4 hours and was worth every penny (and pretty penny it was too!). We participated in the full Chef's tasting menu. Every item was a sensory delight, with great care taken to satisfy my lactose intolerant spouse, done without fuss and attention. Everyone spoke good to excellent English (my Italian is despicable), knew lots about each dish. We finished sated and excited ready for a nap or a short walk around the Duomo!

7/10Disappointing experience for a 2 star michelin restaurant. Food was good but I expected much more efforts in terms of creativity. Lack of generosity in terms of quantity. Pairing wine menue sélection was really poor. Service was however excellent.

6/10The food was disappointing. For 2 stars we expected every dish to be a dream come true. Even though it tasted interesting, it wasn’t really yummy. The plates were beautiful. The service did not receive 5 stars because even though we wrote in the reservation that we would like to get the 9 course menu, we were asked again. The waiters did not seem to have seen our note. Also we had to send a picture of the credit card, which we thought was weird and not really customary to fine dining. Other than this the Service was impeccable. The atmosphere was nicely minimalistic. However the view out of to window is rather dull thus 4 of 5 stars.

10/10Incredible meal. Innovative but respectful of the ingredients (and certain worthy traditions). I cannot even point out a single mistake or misfire in nine courses, all of which were worthy of the two stars! ;) Three of the dishes were truly outstanding and on another level (you'll have to go to find out which ones). This chef and his team are amazing.

10/10A superlative dinner: exceptional food with flawless service. The historic tower restaurant room is a joy to be within.
