7/10The atmosphere is nice, the presentation of the food is also very nice. But to be honest the food is really cheap for the price. For that overall price I would expect more maindish/meat but the main dish was centered around chicken which is much cheaper and some of the side dishes were rather inedible for our taste. Overall the place is nice but the price is too high for what you get.

10/10This was really great. A very welcoming staff, friendly and taking the time for everybody. Nice ambiance in the restaurant, and great dishes on the menu. You can opt for a surprise menu or go for the dishes on the menu (warning: they all look delicious). The quality of the food was superb, and staff stayed friendly the full night. I will definitely come back, and recommend Sarban to all!

10/10These dishes and flavours were new to me. We got to taste a variety of dishes, the best of which were really superb (the dumplings that deserve a more sophisticated name than that, the spiced rice, the dessert plate). There was a homely, bustling atmosphere and very friendly serving staff.

10/10My wife and I really enjoyed this amazing restaurant. It was quite busy for dinner on a Wednesday so I would suggest making a reservation. Although we were staying in Amsterdam, we took an easy 26 minute train to Utrecht, a city worth visiting. Our service was excellent and the staff always explained the various foods that we received. We definitely recommend getting the "chef's surprise" 3 course menu. You will eat such a variety of delicious foods with this menu. Not to be missed. We shared a bottle of Rose wine from Portugal that we enjoyed. In addition to the inside dining room, there is also an option of dining outside along the canal. The price for the 3-course menu was reasonable especially considering the quality of the food and the amount of food that you receive. WE hightly recommend this restaurant.

9/10The quality and freshness of the food in Sarban is consistent, even though the menu has been exactly the same for years, it is equally as good every time I visit. A real privilege to have in Utrecht, long may it last!

4.5/10Questionable high score on TripAdvisor. Table booked for a specific time. We were kept waiting over 10 minutes before being seated. The delay was not as a result of the previous diner taking their time but due to the slow response of the staff whom were just trying to cope with it all. We then had to wait a further 15 minutes before menus were eventually provided. In summary - tasty food but insufficient staff to deal with the high volume of customers (mid-week).

10/10Bachelorette-party dinner in our favourite place! As always, we had great time and great food. Service was kind and attentive and at the end of our dinner one of the waiters came to us to offer to the bachelorette a shot of a (probably) typical drink for a “bride to be”. That was a nice and funny moment ???? thanks for having us for the seventh (?) time! ♥️

10/10My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. We highly recommend the 3 course "surprise" menu consisting of many small portions of delicious Afghan food. Plenty of food to eat. Service was very good and the staff explained each dish that we received to eat. The restaurant was quite busy on a Wednesday night. I would advise making a reservation. We thought that it was a memorable dinner -- don't miss it.

9.5/10I f you are hungry this is the place to go. The food was very tasty and the portions were generous. We all enjoyed the evening. The waiters were very good at explaining the menu. I liked the decor as well. I would certainly go back.
