6.5/10Good, but not worth the hype. We sat in the second room, a pretty non descriptive room and not worthy of a top restaurant. Service was ok, kind of ignored. We were excited to go, won’t be returning.

5/10There is a vast disconnect between the prive of the menu and the food quality. At this price point and given the recognition the restaurant got, I was expected to be amazed and surprised. The restaurant is serving slightly above standard Chinese food. The service was pleasant and the environment at the Shangri La is great. The wine parring was absolutely delicious. We had a good time but I caution other potential clients, it's overall way overpriced for what it is.

7/10+2I wanted to like it here more than I did. My husband and I went to Shang Palace for a meal and we went with the tasting menu. It was... nothing special? We have a lot of spectacular Chinese food in NYC and so we thought this would blow us away. It didn't -- but perhaps our expectations were too high.

9.5/10It was my dream to find a top class Chinese food experience in Europe. After traveling many years around the world for my business I can say that Shang Palace is exactly how a fine dining classic Chinese\HK style. Super the Dim Sum selection, fantastic both the service and the quality of the Whole Peckin Duck.

3.5/10We have choosen the menu., all dishes were totally without taste, staff not so kind, Completely wrong wine pairing and a bad sommelier! For our opinion, this is not at all a one star Michelin restaurant.

10/10I lived in Singapore for 12 years and had dined at various Shangrila restaurants as well as many other top restaurants there. The lobster we had at the Shang in Paris was one of the very best - succulent, sweet and with just the right amount of XO to give it a kick. The French beans were super tender. The French sole was very good but the texture was not one of the very best we had.

4.5/10Arrived for a meal with a family of six, on our only visit to Paris. Wouldn't return to this restuarant, service was ridiculous meals all came at different times , chicken wasn't good, chewy and over priced for what it was.

9.5/10Great food but terrible value for money. The food is fantastic and the quality of the signature dishes is wonderful. It being a Michelin starred restaurant, and also part of a 5* hotel, you would also expect prices to be high. However, charging €8 for a small bowl of white rice (that wasn't even ordered) as well as €10+ for still bottled water, when all we asked for was "some water" seems to be taking it to the extreme.

6.5/10Delicious but extremely overpriced, probably due to being inside the Shangri-La Hotel. Felt rushed by the servers, though they were very kind. Almost impossible to try many things on the menu if you are only two people because the portions are large. The prices should have been, at most, 70% of what they cost. I wouldn’t return for this reason. But it was really good food. Just not worth the prices of other similar accolades in Paris.

9.5/10+2This is one of my bucket list for restaurant to go in Paris. It is difficult to find high end Chinese/Dim Sum place outside Asia. Honestly, this place is not as high end as I imagine. More family oriented/business casual located in boujee hotel. The food didn’t disappoint. The dimsum is perfect bite size. The meat platter is to die for. It is 6 pieces of siu yuk, charsiu, and roast duck (not peking duck) It is difficult to make crispy skin on the siu yuk yet the meat is still retaining that juiciness and softness. The same with the duck. Although, I still prefer the siu yuk. I try the Budha jumping over the wall soup (Abalone soup) but still prefer the other dishes. For dessert, the tang yuan is the best I have ever had. The skin is very thin with lots of fillings. The service is not as good as I expected. It could also be because there is only 1 waiter with 2 helper to serve the entire floor.

10/10Amazing service, amazing food, amazing wine! The sauces were complex and I really appreciate our server explaining that each sauce was for a specific item on the dish. The lobster was excellently prepared - full of flavor and well-cooked so it was not rubbery. Outside of the preset emerald menu, we wanted to try the lobster har gow. It does not need the little gold leaf on top, it is perfect as is, or with the accompanying chili garlic sauce which was delicious. The normandy beef fillet was excellent, each piece was cooked just enough for there to still be pink inside. The fried rice with crab meat, etc, being steamed in a lotus leaf seems to have had no difference, I would have preferred just the fried rice preparation or if doing the lotus leaf, have the rice be a little stickier like no mai fan. The mochi ball of the trio desserts definitely outshown the dan tat and the mango pudding (?). The dan tat could have had more crispy layers. The mango pudding did not seem to have set well. The surprise dessert at the end was so sweet as I forgot I had booked the reservation for my husband as a special surprise 2 months prior so I was pleasantly surprised too! They also have a lengthy wine book for any connoisseurs out there.

3.5/10Lunch was really embarrassing for a restaurant with that name. We had the 78e tasting menu, never had that simple food for that price. Lobster roll- almost no filling and could easily be shrimp instead and I wouldn’t feel the difference. Chicken salad with lettuce- too simple and not great, deep fried sea bass with a ketchup sauce- definitely the worst, then was substituted by fried shrimps with pepper - not bad but definitely not great. And dessert that could come from any delivery Asian restaurant without any effort. Really not worth it!

9.5/10We went for the lunch menu. Really excellent. A number of different dishes, quite different and all really very fine, well presented and very tasteful. Probably the best Chinese cuisine in Paris. Service at the very high Shangri La level. Since the restaurant is at the lower level, there are no windows, but the atmosphere is really relaxing Zen. A great experience.

6.5/10The lunch menu (48 euros) is very small plates of fairly tasteless Chinese Cantonese dishes. Wine by the glass is very expensive.
