The food was amazing.. the new desert was perfect.

Fantastic food! All starters and main courses sounded delicious and what we chose to try exceeded our expectations! Ravioli with lobster, eggplants with turbo and blue lobster deep fried were amazing! But the top was the desert - rice cakes with fruit and whipped cream. Still can't forget the touch and taste of them! We will definitely come back next time we are in Paris!

The place is nice and well decorated but the restaurant is somehow too dark. We selected the discovery menu, it was a bit disapointing despite some excellent dishes like the salmon salad or the duck filet. The dessert had no interest (no taste, no flavour), it didn't help as a last impression.

We were disappointed both by the food and service. We ordered Pekin Duck but it turned out out to be more like a roasted duck from Hong Kong than Pekin Duck. Service was even more disappointing. There was a lack of warmth exemplified by Shangrila brand worldwide and the waiting time was unbearably long.

Good, but not worth the hype. We sat in the second room, a pretty non descriptive room and not worthy of a top restaurant. Service was ok, kind of ignored. We were excited to go, won’t be returning.

The best pekin’s duck of the world.

There is a vast disconnect between the prive of the menu and the food quality. At this price point and given the recognition the restaurant got, I was expected to be amazed and surprised. The restaurant is serving slightly above standard Chinese food. The service was pleasant and the environment at the Shangri La is great. The wine parring was absolutely delicious. We had a good time but I caution other potential clients, it's overall way overpriced for what it is.

+2I wanted to like it here more than I did. My husband and I went to Shang Palace for a meal and we went with the tasting menu. It was... nothing special? We have a lot of spectacular Chinese food in NYC and so we thought this would blow us away. It didn't -- but perhaps our expectations were too high.

Fantastic Place with delicious food. Great service with considerate suggestion. I can not imagine my family could have such nice Chinese food in Paris!! Overall, a wonderful journey :)

It was my dream to find a top class Chinese food experience in Europe. After traveling many years around the world for my business I can say that Shang Palace is exactly how a fine dining classic Chinese\HK style. Super the Dim Sum selection, fantastic both the service and the quality of the Whole Peckin Duck.
