Really low attention to the guest Waited a looong time to get wine to the food so by the time the wine ; a glass ) came the food was almost eaten .. the shrimp ravioli was cold and very thick

Courtesy, professionalism, and a refined setting come together seamlessly with the sophistication of the cuisine. The dishes are well-balanced in flavor yet deliver a remarkable intensity. A genuine discovery in the heart of Trastevere, both visually striking and a delight for the palate!

Very easy and pleasant. Outdoors, no hassle, amazing food and lovely waiter.

The best dining experience of our stay in Rome!

The location is amazing - right over the heart of Trastevere. The rooftop is lovely and the service was excellent. I would definitely return!

You don’t go to the Sottosopra to have a cheap evening, but instead to celebrate. The prices are steep, especially as the wines under the 60€ per bottle were all sold out. This was elegantly resolved though with a generous discount. The pasta with truffle was really good and so was the steak. The rack of lamb was way overcooked.

This is a great little resteraunt with a roof top patio. My daughters and I enjoyed an dinner on a Saturday evening. We all got pasta dishes, Gnochi, lasagna and truffle spaghetti. All were good. The tiramisu was fantastic.

The food was very good and well prepared. We sat inside and the ambience was also exceptional. The one thing we noticed at the end of our meal was a distinct odor of cigarette smoke somehow making it to our second floor table. That did take away some of the enjoyment we were having up to that point.

Outstading ambiance of terrace dining with attentive and helpful servers and sophisiticated adaptatoins of traditoinal Roman cuisine. We had an excellent time and would highly recommend.

Perhaps we came in with too high expectations... Out of five dishes we had, only one was worth remembering - the saltimbocca roll. The lemon tart was almost impossible to eat because the shell was too hard to cut even with a big fork. The gnocchi with lamb sauce were - blah. The gnocchi were too dense and rubbery, and the sauce woud have been ok if i had shown up unexpectedly to someone's home and they shared a meal they prepared for their family. The staff were generally nice, but also very visibly under stress. Finally, one of the waiters insisted on speaking english to us, even though we speak good enough italian for the level of exchange that we had. The nicest thing about the restaurant was the terrace, which is probably very nice to sit on in warmer times.

Very good and attentive service.

Setting & ambience is excellent. Food was really not great. Pork belly was unrendered, fish serving was v small, pasta was over seasoned, ceasar salad was a bit meagre.

The place it self is very beautiful with a nice view. I had fish bon bons which is 3 fried balls (18e) and cacio e pepe with shrimps (20e). Both were nice. my issue is that all the food looked very small. My spaghetti were literally 6-7 forks-full and that was it. If it wouldnt be for the obligatory bread and olive oil, i think i would walk our of there hungry. Glass of wine 12-15e on average.

Stumbled upon this place and very happy we did. Great exploration of local fare in a great outdoor setting. Family enjoyed and the staff was very gracious and accommodating. Highly recommend!!

We were supposed to have a 20% discount through the fork but they didn’t deduct from the bill

I made 6:30 reservation with 20% off. No discount was taken on my 87euro bill. This keeps happening so is it fraud?

Very attentive service from Alessandro. Lovely food and wine.

Disappointing. Ambience. Service. Food tries to be nouvelle and just doesn’t succeed. Dishes were ingenuous and underwhelming. Service not engaging. Wine list very short.

Absolute scam 😂. Me and my fiancé went here for our last night in Rome after a full week of brilliant food everywhere especially around Trastevere, so we book this place online as our last night as it looked decent I order a Caesar salad and she got truffle pasta which was on special, we asked how much the pasta was and the waitress said €14 for the pasta and €10 for the truffle, it came out and the waiter started slicing away onto her pasta, all good so far then the bill came at €70 alone for the dish 😂😂 My salad was €18 and I’m not joking it was when I say it was maybe 5 bites if you’re lucky 😂 listen maybe we didn’t read the vibes of the place or that but in my whole hearted opinion, save your money walk up the street and go to the twenty other lovely and fair priced places arrivederci !

Average fare for an exorbitant price. Portions were small. Wine by the glass a rip off. 9 € for a glass of primitivo with four fifths of the glass remaining empty. Without the 20% discount it would have been daylight robbery. The fare itself was acceptable, although the cappellacci portion was small. The tagliata was better. It was tender and my rare was well cooked, as was my wife’s medium rare.

The food was very tasteless but the service was the main reason we did not like this place. The staff were rude, and kept arguing between themselves..

Perfect location in Trastevere. Good atmosphere. Outside area. Fine place for families.

Food is between OK and good, depending on the dish. To our taste, the kitchen in general is too generous with oil and salt. Service is between OK and good, depending on the staff member. Outside seating in the garden is nice, but "nature" (dropping from trees and birds ...) needs to be expected (and acceptable) ... Located in Trastevere, and only about 40 meters from a very busy street (Lungotevere Farnesina), the garden is not a particularly quiet and cozy environment. Prices are acceptable, as long as discounted (at least, 20%).

Hamburger was HUGE! It was delicious and worth the price. Great stop for Americans sick of Italian food in Italy ????

Great patio where you can still listen to the music from the band in the square! We have the antipasto for two, meatballs amatriana and catio Pepe fries! Scrumptious!

The atmosphere in the top terrace was lovely, our waiter was incredibly friendly, helpful and nice. The service was fast. The Fork discount was applied without even mentioning it to the staff. The food was tasty, although not salty enough for my personal taste. The cocktail I drank was okay. Not the best I’ve ever had; next time I have to try a different one. Fortunately, there are plenty to choose from!
