10/10The restaurant was busy which is a good sign, but the atmosphere was very welcoming and cosy. Service was not swift, but given how busy it was it was absolutely fine. The food was simple, but was amazing. The mashed potato was out of this world and served with the tastiest gravy over ever had. The cheese straws I had as a side were sublime. I can't recommend this restaurant enough. The best meal I had whilst in Holland by far.

10/10Great service, very nice place and axcellent dutch authentic food for a good price. We've very much enjoyed our local lunch in Amsterdam - really exquisite vegetarian option.

8.5/10Good honest food, which is targeted at authenticity and not fine dining. Hearty Dutch food, which was very tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. Wine was reasonably priced for Amsterdam.

8.5/10We were looking to taste something traditional and it was excellent. The food was good and the service was even better. I would definitely recommend it. And the apple tart for dessert, amazing 🥰

10/10A busy place on a Saturday night, but luckily we had booked. Sat at the bar for 10 minutes, served drinks and then seated. Meals were good, service attentive and very friendly.

8/10This was just fine. It’s a restaurant bar, nothing formal or fancy. They serve traditional Dutch fare like bitterballen and kibbeling, which they cook to perfection. It’s a small place so expect some delays when orders exceed the speed and capacity of the kitchen.

9.5/10My wife and enjoyed our dining experience. We were greeted with a smile, invited to choose our own seating (outside), had the menu explained, and were promptly served, with two waiters making sure all went well at our table. I enjoyed a sausage and kale stampot, while my wife had salmon with a salad and fries. We sampled the Dutch pea soup, which was flavorful and hearty (a meal in a bowl). The interior is small but quaint, neat and clean. Prices were very reasonable. Well worth considering for dinner.

10/10Found this family run bistro in top ten in trip advisor. Well worth a visit, lovely staff, still a traditional place. The traditional Dutch food was delicious. Well worth a visit

9/10This is a very good place to try traditional Dutch pub food! The waiter (owner/manager?) was very welcoming, my husband had the meatball and potato and wow was it delicious! Highly recommend- I had the Onion soup and wow was i disappointed (hint it is NOT in anyway a French onion soup)- The owner/manager noticed I didn’t eat much of it (my husband’s lunch was big-so I dug in there) and offered to bring me something else - I demurred as we needed to get to the Van Gough museum so he generously just took it off the bill(!) without any fanfare at all (we certainly didn’t indicate or ask) - The fact that he was so concerned really touched me, not many have such a customer oriented view - we will definitely come back- Oh and consider making reservations as this place does get busy!

10/10Lovely find. We wanted to try Dutch cuisine and this restaurant had great reviews. We were not disappointed. Very friendly welcome, good portions and tasty food. Definitely recommend but would book as it was very busy.

10/10We read reviews online about Stoop & Stoop and it was better than everyone said. We were very early for our reservation but they seated us quickly anyway. My husband and I shared an order of Bitterballen and we each got a different Stampot. Beef stew and meatball. All were delicious. Perfect size portions and served by friendly staff that were helpful and quick. The restaurant was very busy and had a lovely atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

10/10The place is great, the owner is adorable (super friendly and nice), staff absolutely helpful and kind. Food is authentic…try the fish platter and I got the sole fish…everything comes with fries (super hot and crispy). Iced beer! It’s Worth a try 🎊🎊

10/10Delighted that this restaurant really understood and engaged with our GF needs! Great service, fab food and GF beer! Added to that we weren’t made to feel like weirdo’s which is a rare experience when you are GF!! Highly recommended xx

10/10The was by far our favorite restaurant on our trip to Amsterdam. The restaurant itself was so cozy and warm and the staff was so incredibly friendly. But the show stopper was the food! So beautiful and delicious! We would highly recommend!

10/10I booked this place for my first night in Amsterdam I was not disappointed, the food was well cooked and prepared and the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant had the ambiance af an old style Dutch cafe which was perfect for my first night in Amsterdam. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a taste of traditional Dutch food. They also had a couple of really tasty Dutch bees which were a perfect accompaniment to the meal.
