I booked this place for my first night in Amsterdam I was not disappointed, the food was well cooked and prepared and the staff were attentive and friendly. The restaurant had the ambiance af an old style Dutch cafe which was perfect for my first night in Amsterdam. I would recommend this for anyone looking for a taste of traditional Dutch food. They also had a couple of really tasty Dutch bees which were a perfect accompaniment to the meal.

As my first time to this restaurant and on the advice of my sister & her hubby, I was completely impressed. They certainly led me in the right direction. Delicious food, great service and a very happy atmosphere.

Food was so good we went back twice. Dutch apple pie in particular was best we have ever had, along with the Dutch menu. Service was excellent, comfortable & inviting atmosphere, all in all a lovely experience, one of the nicest restaurants, we have been to in awhile and highly recommend.

Excellent bar/restaurant that we visited based on Tripadvisor reviews. Ate the 'local' sausage and mash and drank the local dark beer in this small friendly family run establishment. It all added to the pleasure of our first weekend in Amsterdam.

Delicious and authentic Dutch food! The goat cheese and beet salad, and onion soup, were outstanding. Our entrées, Stamppot Endive, was equally good! I highly recommend!

Highly recommend the burger, rips and onion soup! Chips are better than the snack we had along the main road to Amsterdam Central. Fortunately we booked a table and staff are very helpful.

This is a Dutch version of a pub. Hearty food, beer, drinks, informal atmosphere. We had a local specialty, Stamppot (or Hotchpotch), and a nicely grilled salmon.

Our first visit to Amsterdam and we decided to try this local Dutch restaurant. Stoop & Stoop had exceptional service, excellent food, great ambiance! We enjoyed our dinner from the minute we walked in until the minute we walked out! Armond and his wife truly know how to make you feel welcome. They were passionate about the food they served us and you could feel the love with each bite! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
