Quantity was less And the snacks was not cooked it’s has been taken out Frm the freezer and putted for the frying it was a quick serving but the snacks was not cooked properly so we ordered chicken biryani it was over salted and they made Hot in the plate in microwave was not hot also Over all not a Good food …. The samosas was dipped in overflow of oil the quality was not good it was cold Frm in side Thnks

Swagat is our go to place in Madrid for Indian cuisine and it’s the main one for authentic Indian taste — not the watered down Western taste that most places give you.

Well, I liked Swagat a lot before I went a few times, but this time, when we booked through Fork, we didn't enjoy much as with a 30% discount. They have decreased the ratio of plates. We were three people, and we ordered food as we used to do, but that wasn't sufficient for us. The size of the naan was small, and the quantity of vegetable kofta was really less, just three balls with almost no curry (14 euros). Better they should serve without a discount, as there is no sense in giving a discount if they don't serve well.

The chicken tikka served at the table on a sword-like skewer was delicious! The curry dishes were all suitably tasty, and the lemon rice excellent. The onion bhargi were chewy balls, and the naan bread was dry and hard. We'll be back - and we'll select from the menu with care!

The food was quite good, they reduced the rations with respect to other times I’ve been there, possibly because of the 30% discount. They were trying to trick us into ordering beer and ordering more rations by saying only three pieces cane and we were four. Not very appropriate or welcoming for the kind of ambience they try to create and it’s not the first time it has happened. So even if the food is good beware of the manager and the people taking the orders.

Excellent service and food. The only thing is that they bring u appetisers w/o u asking for them ( and you expect it to be a treat from the restaurant), but then they charge u for them at the end. Was also a little annoying the speed with which they tried to take away the plates, some were not finished. We had to tell them several times we are still working on the food… Else all good.

Excellent restaurant for authentic Indian cuisine. If you are out in look for a good and value-for-money Indian restaurant, this must be one of your few choices. You can request the level of heat/ spice depending on your endurance :) The owners are really nice people and you will get a personal touch while you visit. Highly recommended.

While the food was excellent, no doubt.. The quantity of food that was served to our table was just not upto the mark. The gravy dishes had absolutely no gravy for the Nan. The biryani was ok. The amount that were were charged for quantity was not justified. The plus point were the starters which were really delicious. Swagat is a must visit for every Indian and local Spanish but they need to relook at the quantity. The owners are just lovely people.

It was almost a perfect experience Apart from a very good attention and excellent food, I have to remark there were at least three other tables with 20 total Indostani people. I ususlly don't have any doubts about Indian cuisine, but that particular detail is very ilustrative.

If you are looking for original Indian food among all the ‘ so called’ Indian food in Madrid, this is the place to go to. The paneer Karahi and vegetable kolhapuri had the right flavour. The samosas were mouth watering, surprisingly the chutneys were like they are back at home. We tried carrot halwa, again a big surprise… really delicious! The ambience is in true Indian style. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in search of authentic, real and good quality Indian food. Overall a very delightful experience with service being warm and friendly. Serendipity!
