The staff are warm and attentive all the time. We are there to taste the traditional Portuguese food and happy with our choices. The restaurant is in a old castle looking building, which gives it some characters. It also has great outdoor space. We certainly enjoyed our meal.

Nice restaurant with moody decor. Menu could have been presented better. Several different choices on the menu. Food well presented. Price wise it's expensive. If we had not had The Fork Food Fest discount I would say overpriced.

Nice taberna in courtyard near my hotel. Small simple menu, but nice choices & friendly helpful staff. I had fish (mussels & octopus/shrimp rice), both good.

Went for my birthday and had a lovely tapas meal. Service was excellent and food very good.Shared warm bread with 2 types of butter,mussels,fries and a Portuguese peas egg and chorizo dish. When visiting Cascais again we will definitely come here again.

There are tables free reserved but you to wait to get seated. Then the fiod doesn’t taste good, the padrons have been cooked & re cooked way too may times, half tge plate served with them black instead of green. Tge beans with chorizo, no chorizo taste. Will not return.

Highly recommend. The food is fabulous!! Exceptional flavours, really memorable. We came on recommendation from friends and are delighted to have discovered this little gem of a restaurant. Service was very attentive. Food was delicious. Setting is peaceful. And the prices are incredibly reasonable. Thank you for a lovely supper, we shall be back!

Outstanding - having just arrived in Cascais for a week we were tired and hungry. We booked this restaurant that is situated in a delightful square within the old castle beside the marina. There are lots of restaurants in the Marina that we have visited before and they are good in general. But this was fab - great service, delightful setting and every dish was delicious - and the 6 of us all ordered different things so we got a good sense of the menu.

Simply good food in a great location on a lovely square near the pousada. Attentive service, speedy and friendly. Traditional dishes well executed, solid wine list. Great experience.

A bizarre experience. We are not sure what the problem was, but the full house restaurant seemed chaotic. Only one ‘very busy’ waiter was appointed to take our order yet there were other service staff around. We were waiting impatiently. Eventually the drinks service staff came to take our order. She saved the day. Nibbles were fine: bread, olives, oil. Butters were rock hard. Only 1 entrée ordered: ‘Pork terrine’ Verdict: okay. Accompanying salad was overwhelming — lettuce leaves in a jar (awkward). Mains: Steak, Verdict: Excellent, Accompanying sauces: Superb. We added some of the sauces to my Main dish: Duck rice, Verdict: Duck itself, very good but rice needed the sauces to moisten it up a bit — then it was tasty. Our red wine by the glass was outstanding. Unfortunately the restaurant suddenly needed a high-chair which was stored in a cupboard right next to my husband’s seat. Access meant he had to move (!). Surprised to find the toilets are accessed directly from the main dining area with no ante-room separation (I have never seen this unhygienic layout in a restaurant of this quality before). We are sure we experienced the restaurant on a tough night as it could not (should not) be this chaotic ... ever. It lacked management.

With generous portion sizes, attentive, balanced, friendly service, and food which was delicious, we wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend. Ambience seemed suited to small groups of friends, or couples , and sitting outside would have been good too, had it not been too damp and misty. The final bonus was the location, just a few paces across the square from our hotel.
