We had a reservation for 8 PM, but our table wasn’t ready when we arrived. Since we had our dog with us, we chose to sit outside. Unfortunately, a DJ was blasting extremely loud techno music until 8:45 — not really what you expect when you come for dinner. We were hoping for a relaxed evening, not a mini rave. When the music finally stopped, they missed the chance to create a nice vibe with some background lounge music, leaving the atmosphere flat. We weren’t the only ones disappointed — several other guests were also complaining. The food was decent, but the service really lacked warmth and attention. It felt like hospitality wasn’t a priority. It’s a beautiful place with a lot of potential, but they really need to work on the basics: atmosphere and genuine service.

The food was delicious. Very friendly staff. The setting in the Fortrezza was stunning. Such a beautiful square in an historical part of Cascais right next to the Marina. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The interior of the restaurant is beautiful and the facilities are immaculate. Sitting outside on the square was memorable and made of a lovely experience. Very good value and it was great to get the Fork discount!

My friend and I have been to this restaurant a few times this year and really enjoyed it. The last time we were there it was a very hot day and we had two bottles of water. I was very disappointed to see the price of the water when we got the bill but aside from that, it was a great experience.
