Starters were great. You variation of paella is completely strange. It’s like starters are well prepared, but then nobody had time to think about main courses. Traditional cod was also not anything tasty… I wound not visit that restaurant again.

Not very warm welcoming staff like I’m used in Portugual. Octopus salad great but fried fish couldn’t finish it as it was way too salty.

This was our fave restaurant experience of Portugal vacation. I messed up the date and time for our reservation and Inis was able to fit us in later at 10:15 pm. She was also our server and delivered amazing and attentive service. The food was phenomenal and loved it all. Faves were the Tuna tar tar , the seafood rice , and garlic shrimp. Wow.

The bread with tomato comes with cold tomato puree on top, so the bread is not crispy anymore… ( not like bruschetta), the egg in the tomato soup wasn’t cooked enough, the octopus salad had a bit to much vinegar …

We tried three different starters, and all were disappointing. The food is okay, but for the price and considering that it is in Lisbon (high standards everywhere), I can't rate this restaurant more than 7.5 .

It’s a bit strange to come early on a Saturday night with a reservation, and be forced to wait when there is open seating at the bar. For context another solo dinner with a reservation at the same time as me came in about 8 minutes after me and was promptly seated at one of those same open spots and served promptly. The food is well done and accurately described on the menu. The service could be a lot better and everyone should be treated the same.

Lisbon offers many many food choices. It seems as you can’t go wrong with some of the top restaurants in and around the Barrio Alto area. (Which there are many) I believe Tapisco rises above, offering amazing food, incredible service all at an extremely approachable price. Tapisco offers a lunch service, so if you can get a dinner reservation (which can be very challenging) the lunch options is a great option to not miss this amazing restaurant. Tapisco is in a small space and does not have a “fancy” Michelin star attitude. Instead, it lets the amazing food, attention to detail and attentive service do its talking. 5 out of 5 and be sure to order the Bomba de Lisboa. You’ll never think of a ham croquette the same way ever again.

Unfortunately, my recent visit to Tapisco was quite disappointing. Despite the positive reviews I had read online, the overall experience fell short of my expectations. To start, the atmosphere was lackluster and uninviting. The lighting was too bright, making it feel more like a cafeteria than a restaurant. Additionally, the decor was outdated and in need of an upgrade. The service was also subpar. Our server seemed disinterested and unengaged throughout the meal, and we had to wait an unusually long time for our orders to be taken and for our food to arrive. When our food did finally arrive, it was lukewarm and lacked the flavor and seasoning I had hoped for. Unfortunately, the disappointment continued with the food itself. The dishes were very average and lacked creativity. Overall, I wouldn't recommend Tapisco to others. While the restaurant may have received positive reviews in the past, my experience was underwhelming and left me feeling disappointed.

No idea how Tapisco maintains a Michelin Star. The service was slow, and unresponsive. Then being told we had 5 minutes to finish when desert was served! Coffee never arrived. Several of the food items were quite good, but the ending left a bad taste!

Tapisco was amazing! Beer on tap was deliciously chilled. Wait staff were wonderful. Food was scrumptious and big shareable dishes - which they tell you. Prices were very affordable for a Michelin restaurant. Absolutely a gem!
