9/10We loved every single bite we ate at Tasca Baldracca. We did feed pretty rushed which was a letdown because the energy in the space was so great and we wanted to enjoy our wine instead of feeling like we had to chug it and clear the table.

9.5/10I went here with my mom on the recommendation of a friend who lives in Lisbon. The dishes were fantastic and we tried new flavour combinations. Left full after sharing about 6 plates. Our server was helpful and attentitve.

10/10A unique dining experience -- unusual setting and ambiance with excellent food and service. Highly recommended. As the art on the wall says "Henry hates fine dining" -- so if fine dining is what you're looking for this is not for you (but you'll be missing out on a treat!)

5/10The food and service were good enough. However, the music was unbearably loud. We asked the staff multiple times to turn it down and they refused — saying that the owner insists on controlling the music (we saw him adjusting his playlist nearby). We ended up leaving before finishing our food because we had such bad headaches and sore throats from screaming at each other when we tried to have a conversation.

Nice vibe to this place with a relaxed approach to quality dining. All the menu is chalked up on the board. It’s tapas style sharing plates and the dishes are fantastic. We ordered mussels in miso, the grilled octopus (very popular), shrimps with n’duja and a nice take on a lamb kofte on a flatbread. All dishes came to the table relatively quickly and tasted great, washed down with a decent jarro of house white. The bill was 70 euro for 2 people. Would highly recommend a visit.

10/10There are not a lot of restaurants like this in the world. Joe Beef (Montreal) comes to mind. I can only describe this place as punk cooking. They cook what they want to eat, a simplicity with in your face flavors, an attitude and perfection that Bourdain or Jonathan Gold would respect (RIP). Go here. It will be the best meal you have in this country and possibly this year. Wine options have the same approach. It's what you want to drink, not what someone says you should drink. Sadly I'm leaving Portugal tomorrow but may go back for round 2.
