10/10The owner was charming, helpful and very welcoming. The food was incredible. I had the steak. I highly recommend it. I also had cacio e pepe. That wasn't the best, I should have had the spinach ravioli.

10/10Taverna Ripetta is always a mandatory stop when we are in Roma. A very small, cozy restaurant (24 seats total) and a small staff, you feel like family as soon as you walk in the door. Menu is small but everything is same-day fresh - hence the small menu. Food is expertly prepared and without equal in Roma. The lady who owns the Taverna is outgoing and friendly, and it is refreshing to have an owner who takes a personal stake in every diner and treats everyone individually rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. A/C is used sparingly, so be prepared for a warm dining room during the summer - particularly during heat waves like this summer. Top notch place, strongly recommend, reservations recommended due to the small size.

This place is just magical. From the small setting, to the 2 women running it, and THE FOOD, oh wow, the food — Taverna Ripetta is incredible! All other food we had while on our honeymoon in Italy quickly became measured up against Taverna Ripetta. We didn’t want our experience there to end. I hope my last meal on Earth can somehow come from this place. AMAZING!!

9.5/10A small family gem. We had the eggplant ravioli and it was incredible! We also ordered the seafood pasta, which comes with a heaping amount of tender seafood.... just delicious. Reservation required... the place is tiny

We saw this restaurant when we were walking back to our hotel. We saw it got good ratings so we thought we’d give it a try. It was easy to make a reservation online. We got there a little early and they seated us right away. The staff were very friendly and the chef even came out to talk with us and he made some recommendations for us. We had a salad and the pasta dishes and they were all very good. I would recommend this place. It’s a small, neighborhood restaurant with mostly locals coming in to eat and the owner seemed to know everyone who came in. This is the type of restaurant we like to eat in when we go on vacation. We want to eat where the locals eat, you get the best food and the freshest food.

10/10The owners of this restaurant are very hospitable and pay special attention to their guests. We felt very at home and were delighted with the quality of our meal. Everything is delicious. We would recommend to everyone looking for a nice quiet authentic Italian experience.

Real authentic Italian restaurant in Rome. My girlfriend and I ate here twice in 3 nights. This is an old school spot ran by 2 awesome ladies, an amazing chef and their dog. Very nice, welcoming and funny owners. You can’t go wrong with any dish. Will definitely come back every time I visit Rome and would recommend to everyone.

3/10Vitello Tonnato was missing half the ingredients. Amatriciana was barely passable. Wine was fine but for some reason it was difficult to order and it came 20 minutes later. How is it difficult to order wine in Italy?

9.5/10Reservations required at this wonderful restaurant. The 2 ladies who own it are very nice, one speaks a little English the other almost none, but the food is exceptional. We had the homemade ravioli and roast beef, wine, and we each had a homemade dessert that was so good we decided to get tiramisu. Our meal was one of the best we had during our 2 week visit between Rome, Venice or Florence.

+1We ate our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was absolutely wonderful. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, fresh and delicious. Some highlights were the vegetable soup, the wild boar and the pasta bolognese with amazing homemade pasta. Our server Antonio was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. We were in the lower level which was a little less charming than upstairs, but the only place for our large group.

10/10An amazing place, the one’s you want to keep as a family secret. The two ladies managing this taverna are so lovely and are serving an amazing and tasty food, with local receipts. Taste and happiness are just meeting and you can see it is not a tourist place as local are there as well to find a little place, just to enjoy the magic of Roma taste!

10/10This is one of my favorite restaurants in Italy. Actually we went there twice during our 3-day trip in Rome. We love the way they deal with meat (beef, fish, shell, etc.) -- tender but resilient, creamy/rich but not greasy, with fresh vegetables and the best vinegar. Miss it already and definitely will come next time.
