3/10Vitello Tonnato was missing half the ingredients. Amatriciana was barely passable. Wine was fine but for some reason it was difficult to order and it came 20 minutes later. How is it difficult to order wine in Italy?

9.5/10Reservations required at this wonderful restaurant. The 2 ladies who own it are very nice, one speaks a little English the other almost none, but the food is exceptional. We had the homemade ravioli and roast beef, wine, and we each had a homemade dessert that was so good we decided to get tiramisu. Our meal was one of the best we had during our 2 week visit between Rome, Venice or Florence.

9.5/10We ate our Thanksgiving dinner here and it was absolutely wonderful. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, fresh and delicious. Some highlights were the vegetable soup, the wild boar and the pasta bolognese with amazing homemade pasta. Our server Antonio was attentive and provided excellent recommendations. We were in the lower level which was a little less charming than upstairs, but the only place for our large group.

10/10An amazing place, the one’s you want to keep as a family secret. The two ladies managing this taverna are so lovely and are serving an amazing and tasty food, with local receipts. Taste and happiness are just meeting and you can see it is not a tourist place as local are there as well to find a little place, just to enjoy the magic of Roma taste!

10/10This is one of my favorite restaurants in Italy. Actually we went there twice during our 3-day trip in Rome. We love the way they deal with meat (beef, fish, shell, etc.) -- tender but resilient, creamy/rich but not greasy, with fresh vegetables and the best vinegar. Miss it already and definitely will come next time.

9.5/10Charming place with reservations required because the food and atmosphere is excellent but not many tables. Communication limited with non English speaking staff, but menu in English helped. Highly recommend this place.

10/10We LOVED Taverna Ripetta, so much so that we returned for lunch the next day. We were greeted at the door by Mo, the owners’ dog, who clearly runs the show. The ambience created by the friendly and always-smiling owners is very welcoming; both for regulars and tourists. The prosciutto and melon is the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had plenty. All of our dishes were excellent, and portions were perfect, even generous. We will certainly recommend Ripetta to any friends visiting Rome, and hopefully we will be able to return to enjoy it again.

10/10This restaurant and the two sisters who run it are a must-have experience. The food was absolutely delicious and the ambiance was so quaint. But the absolute best part was Fatima and Donatella (and their mascot MOE). Do yourself a favor and find this gem.

3.5/10Thought I was getting a wine list. Instead was brought a bottle of wine. Had no idea about the price. Prefer to choose my own. And they charge a cuperto. Most don’t anymore! Felt the 2 women were not friendly. Food was ok.

8/10Lovely very small restaurant with gracious owners. My pasta carbonara was delicious. The other guests at my table ordered sliced meat with tuna sauce that was a cold dish and they did not love it.

10/10Lovely little spot, had an amazing squid and melon salad. The tiramisu was perfecto! The service was great, 2 lovely Italian woman and a little wiener dog named Mo. Be sure to make a reservation!

10/10One of the best dinning experiences we’ve ever had! This restaurant is owned by two very nice ladies and the food is absolutely amazing. You can tell that they care a lot about the quality and the taste of the food. They also have a cute dog who sometimes would take a nap by your table. We loved the ambiance and every dish we had!

10/10This was our final day of a week-long trip to Rome and we are so happy we ate here. The dining room is intimate and makes you feel very comfortable. We ordered the Gnocchi seafood and the Carbonera, along with the antipasti assortment plate. Everything was delicious! The house wine was full bodied and smooth. We had the creme caramel for dessert which was wonderful. The service was wonderful. We love this place!

10/10This is a homey and relaxed environment--and the sea bass was so beautiful and fresh, the best I have had in years. The little dog "Mo" added his own flair and one felt like you were a personal guest of Fatima's. Ask for the homemade digestif--in the Campari category of flavor, but we loved every minute in this restaurant,

10/10This was our favorite dinner in Rome. There are so many positives here. First, we felt so welcome, so comfortable, it was as if we were dining at home. Second, the atmosphere lends further to that comfort factor - a special place where you are surrounded by whimsical art, wine, and the aromas of an Italian kitchen. Finally, the food - fresh, flavorful, and presented with finesse. The host went out of her way to ensure we were happy. We asked for a lot and she delivered. In the end, we left with full stomachs and huge smiles on our faces.

10/10A very comfortable and homely feeling makes this restaurant an absolute joy to visit. Surrounded by an authentic Italian setting and the warm welcome from the owners make the experience complete. And I haven’t even started about the food! The fresh and homemade pasta is out of the world. I would absolutely recommend this to everyone.

8.5/10Service was wonderful and food portions very generous. We weren’t told of prices of some dishes so it was a surprise when the bill came and it was more than we’d expected to pay. Some menu items were not available and were substituted for other items but prices were not revealed at time of ordering.

10/10We had a lovely and relaxing dinner at this little trattoria. The hosts gave great recommendations on what to order and the two dishes were delicious! We had the traditional carbonara and it was the best yet in Italy. In addition, we had a type of larger penne with spicy pomodoro and pancetta and plenty of parmigiano reggiano. Also fantastic! No English menu but the host speaks excellent English and willing to help. Everything was made to order and the restaurant appears to be a local favorite.:
