The host is very friendly and offered us the opportunity to sit either inside or outside. The service was excellent. Our grilled fish was very tasty and I was delighted to be able to have a gin and tonic as I’m not a wine drinker. (There is a huge choice of wines in this restaurant. ) We got sorbet when we ordered ice cream (but ate it anyway). We sat at a high table as there were only two of us but I find it uncomfortable not being able to put my feet on the floor. (I’m sure we could have moved if we’d asked as there was plenty of room but I’m not sure what the advantage of having high tables is). We would recommend this restaurant and we have been here on previous visits to Cascais.

Food was excellent...service was great with awesome conversation and recommendations. The atmosphere is quiet, but with a neighborhood feel. Definitely a welcome departure for a super enjoyable meal outside the bustle.

Fantastic and quiet end of Cascais. Extremely friendly staff. Thoroughly enjoyed every second of the meal. If you want to delve into Portuguese wine, this is your place. It’s a shame we don’t live here otherwise it’d be somewhere we frequent often.

This gem of a restaurant tucked away off the main square was the best find of our entire trip. The food was exquisite, the atmosphere charming, and the staff, including the owner himself, was beyond attentive. There are only 6 or 7 tables so definitely make a reservation. You will not be disappointed.

The restaurant is run by a wonderful couple and the food is delicious. The service was wonderful, attentive without being overwhelming. The owner suggested a wine that paired perfectly with the dishes we ordered. The octopus in vinaigrette and the fish stew were amazing! I’d definitely recommend, but make reservations if you want to sit inside.

This is a quaint little Portuguese restaurant just minutes away from the busy tourist area. Reservations highly recommended since it's very popular and the tables can fill quickly. Two of us selected the catch of the day and our third picked the robalo (sea bass) - everything was cooked to perfection. We asked Pedro for guidance selecting a wine to complement the different types of fish and he explained his recommendation in a helpful way. The deserts were also delicious. Our server was very attentive and our overall experience was excellent.

Small restaurant tucked away from the busiest streets but still central. The owner is very passionate about wine and very knowledgeable. The food is great. Traditional Portuguese with daily specials. But the wine selection and his knowledge are the reason to make a reservation. Only a tiny number of tables so do book ahead.

We loved Terroso for its high quality of food and, most importantly, for the context provided by the proprietor describing how each dish represents a certain region of Portugal by way of ingredient origin or history. For our first dinner during our trip to Cascais, we were lucky to experience Terroso with its portuguese cuisine, wine and hospitality.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. Food was very fresh and simple, perfectly cooked fish. It’s a little bit off the busy tourist areas so it’s quiet and calm. Prices were good for the quality.

This little restaurant is in a quaint alley and romantic atmosphere. Service was excellent and attentive. Great food selection from appetizer, various types of meat, desserts and wine. Everything was delicious and cooked with a Portuguese flair. We were impressed with everything this restaurant offered. It’s memorable experience and we’ll definitely go back there again before we travel back home. Bravo!!!
