We had the burger and chicken. Food was great, service was excellent. Nice relaxing homely food. I recommend this place if you want simple but very good food. They also has a nice selection of beers and some ciders.

Found this via The Fork. So glad we did. We were late though that was no problem. Lovely cosy decor. We had a shared plank as starter, lovely chesse kroket and mackreal salad etc. My husband had steak which he said was to die for. Really good prices too. Thank you!

We had booked for 5 people, came with 6, and were give a table that was not really fit for more than 4 with an extra chair added on the side. They told us they had no table for 6, even though there was an empty table for 2 people right next to our table that could easily be moved to create a table for 6. They said we would just have to accept the table as it was, which was clearly impossible to do. I asked for a solution, and they refused. I asked them to add a table, and they said no, because their walkway would become too narrow. I asked them if they could move the table for 2 so create a table for 6, and they said no, it is reserved. I asked them to think of another solution, and they refused. When I said that this is just not acceptable, they finally solved the problem by moving the table for 2. We told them we had to be at the theater at 20.30, and asked if they could manage, and they said sure, but we were late at the theater anyway. They gave us no spoons with the sauces. Other than that all was fine.

The Old Pal is a cosy and welcoming restaurant with good honest food and great service. I can recommand the Mexican salade with pulled chicken, the Mexican burger and the saté. We fully enjoyed our meal.

Everything was lovely a pub cafe will not expect a lot but the quality and amount is a lot pitty the waiter ordered a main course size portion of the salad instead of the starter. The service was perfect and with a lot of patience. Price quality very nice.
