The pork belly and tonkatsu sandwich were amazing. The service was friendly but we had to pursue them a lot considering the restaurant wasnt very busy. The udon should be avoided at all costs as it is very sweet. Overall, the cost wasn't worth the price but my 30% discount made it palatable.

Fantastic restaurant... the food is excellent and the service was impeccable! We were served by Carlos and Adriana. She was very friendly and attentive, and he was incredibly friendly and passionate about his service! This is a rare quality in a waiter! I recommend it to anyone who loves Asian cuisine! TOP!

They did not want us to choose the 6 course tasting menu - why then do they have it ? We were not so hungry but had to eat a longer menu! So unprofessional!

We ordered multiple pieces of sushi and a Tonkatsu sandwich. We had high expectations for the soft-shell crab uramaki rolls, but they turned out to be quite dry. They were served with a peanut mayonnaise that was very tasty, but it completely overpowered the flavor of the crab. The California rolls were also less than satisfying; they were dry as well, and on some pieces the avocado had already started to brown. On the other hand, the toro nigiri were absolutely amazing: fresh, buttery, and perfectly balanced. The Tonkatsu sandwich was also outstanding, perfectly crispy and flavourful. Unfortunately, the lady who greeted us at the door was not welcoming at all, which gave us a poor first impression. Thankfully, the gentleman who later looked after us completely turned the evening around; his attentive service and excellent dessert recommendations made all the difference. The desserts he suggested: ginger ice cream with chocolate brownie and raspberry mochi (were truly exquisite).

We booked via The Fork for an anniversary lunch for 2, and as such we got some nice discount on the food (only on a la carte dishes) from The Fork. The place is spruced up and tastefully decorated, the toilets clean and the whole place looks elegant and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, ready to offer useful tips and recommendations. However, we found some of the food a bit underwhelming and overpriced. E.g. the sea bass is a tiny portion, doesn’t come with any sides and its taste didn’t wow us, so we thought that for what it was, the price was a bit over the top. The same goes for their rice dish with chicken, which was okay but nothing to write home about. The standout dish for us was the desert: chocolate brownie with ginger ice cream and rich dark chocolate sauce — hands down the tastiest and most memorable item! All in all, we liked some things about the place but in some respects it did not meet our expectations, so we left with mixed feelings.

The crab roll was a clear highlight—light, fresh, and thoughtfully balanced. Rather than overwhelming the palate, it let the clean sweetness of the crab speak for itself. It’s the kind of restraint that suggests a confident kitchen. Service at Tottori was equally impressive. Staff were attentive without hovering, and their warmth felt sincere, not scripted. That level of attentiveness, especially during peak hours, is rare—and it elevated the entire experience. Tottori may not be reinventing sushi, but it doesn’t need to. It delivers clarity, quality.

The food! We eat Japanese food semi-regularly when we go out as it is delicious and Tottori was no exception. There is an element of fusion, the prawn tempura was not traditional and came with salad and spicy mayo. I had hot saki which was served in a special heater, and the eel and avocado rolls were really good. We had the fork discount which made it extremely good value.

First of all, unparalleled service in Alicante. Knowledgeable and going out of their way for the customer. Secondly, by far the best sushi in town. Absolute top quality. Not cheap, but certainly worth it.

Excellent sushi restaurant. Relaxed atmosphere topped by good service and attention by the staff. Classy interior. We had a selection of sushi courses picked from the wide menu. All really good and the star of the dishes was the salmon sashimi, smoothest ever! Really fresh. Also tried a selection of nigiris and some maki rolls. All nicely made and tasty. Even the pickled ginger was outstanding, obviously home made. From the varied wine list we picked a Gran Reserva Brut Cava wich matched the food in a nice way.

The quantity of the food was not explained to us. No side dish included in the meals. We left the restaurant still hungry. Too expensive for the quality and the quantity of food they offer.
