7/10They did not want us to choose the 6 course tasting menu - why then do they have it ? We were not so hungry but had to eat a longer menu! So unprofessional!

5.5/10We ordered multiple pieces of sushi and a Tonkatsu sandwich. We had high expectations for the soft-shell crab uramaki rolls, but they turned out to be quite dry. They were served with a peanut mayonnaise that was very tasty, but it completely overpowered the flavor of the crab. The California rolls were also less than satisfying; they were dry as well, and on some pieces the avocado had already started to brown. On the other hand, the toro nigiri were absolutely amazing: fresh, buttery, and perfectly balanced. The Tonkatsu sandwich was also outstanding, perfectly crispy and flavourful. Unfortunately, the lady who greeted us at the door was not welcoming at all, which gave us a poor first impression. Thankfully, the gentleman who later looked after us completely turned the evening around; his attentive service and excellent dessert recommendations made all the difference. The desserts he suggested: ginger ice cream with chocolate brownie and raspberry mochi (were truly exquisite).

7.5/10We booked via The Fork for an anniversary lunch for 2, and as such we got some nice discount on the food (only on a la carte dishes) from The Fork. The place is spruced up and tastefully decorated, the toilets clean and the whole place looks elegant and well maintained. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, ready to offer useful tips and recommendations. However, we found some of the food a bit underwhelming and overpriced. E.g. the sea bass is a tiny portion, doesn’t come with any sides and its taste didn’t wow us, so we thought that for what it was, the price was a bit over the top. The same goes for their rice dish with chicken, which was okay but nothing to write home about. The standout dish for us was the desert: chocolate brownie with ginger ice cream and rich dark chocolate sauce — hands down the tastiest and most memorable item! All in all, we liked some things about the place but in some respects it did not meet our expectations, so we left with mixed feelings.
