6/10We had what was tagged as a new meat sauce (bison?) pasta that was bland … meat slightly dry. Pasta itself was delicious and perfectly cooked. The green peppercorn sauced tenderloin was tasty but again, just nothing special. Medium rare steak cooked a perfect medium rare. To summarize, a decent but overpriced dinner

The waiter somehow ended up serving us the wrong plates - my friend and I were served the other person's plate - even though we clarified at his request prior to his serving......

8/10A lot of people recommended this specific restaurant. From our hotel receptionist, to the taxi driver, to friends who had been there in the past. The place is fully booked so I recommend you make a reservation at least a day before getting there. Everyone in the restaurant were happy to help you and especially the owner. All kind. It was very crowded and loud but other than that we ate excellent. Ragou and pasta. Tasty food for real and big portions. The only thing we did not like so much was the bread as it was not that fresh. Other than this, even the desserts were good and big…. Would recommend the restaurant for the pasta and the meat for sure

9/10The food was great and the wait staff was very pleasant. It was a memorable experience from Florence. I will recommend this restaurant to my friends. However, the main dish was brought out too quickly so that I could not fully enjoy the appetizer, and had to leave 1/3 of it. After hot food, cold cuts aren't very appetizing. But the rest of it, it was very satisfying for my husband and me.

6.5/10How does this place rack up rave reviews? Did I wander into a parallel dimension where the food is Michelin-starred and the service divine? My experience felt more like sitting at the kids’ table at Thanksgiving—if nobody remembered to bring me food. The waiter appeared promptly, took my order—truffle pasta, steak ai funghi—and vanished like a magician. The pasta arrived so fast it seemed preordained. It was good, not transcendent. I ate half, saving room for the steak I imagined as a rustic marvel. And then… I waited. Time stretched as I watched others dine and depart. My steak remained a mirage. The waiter resurfaced after 45 minutes. I mentioned my missing steak; he smiled and cleared the table. Eventually, I went to pay and explained, politely, what had happened. They nodded with the kind of detachment reserved for complaints. After all, when you're drowning in rave reviews, one steak is forgotten as quickly as it's served (or not, in my case).

6/10The cut of the T-bone steak, its fat distribution, and doneness were inconsistent. I ended up with a piece that was mostly fat and cooked to medium-rare, which tasted a bit unpleasant.

4/10I don't know if all locations are the same, but the one we went to (by train station) was extremely over crowed, stuffy and service was very bad. Servers looked miserable, not very knowledgeable and just plain out indifferent. The wine was good ($60 bottle) but the steak Florentine (their top steak) was nothing to write home about. Very bland, seemed unseasoned, and I mean just on a basic salt level! I am from Chile and have had many open flame prepared meats and steaks, this was not uneatable but definitely at the bottom of the barrel in my experience and nowhere near worth the price. Maybe try another cut if you want to give it a go but I'd recommend going elsewhere.

8.5/10The food was very good, but I was not thrilled by the service (and upselling attempts): * Would you like a different cut of beef instead of the French beef? The waiter pointed at the menu which showed prices for different items, but I couldn't tell if they were additional charges (of more than the base amount) or would be the total (in which case they were only a few Euros more than the base and I might have tried one). * They were "out" of the Chianti Classico I ordered but conveniently had a Chianti Classico Reserva (from a different provider) for just 15 Euros more. I decided to go with the Reserva and it was good, but I find it hard to believe that they didn't have a Classico available. * There was a mysterious charge for a "petite aqua" on our bill (we'd ordered a large water, which was on the bill, too). The cashier removed it when I pointed it out. They honored the 20% discount without my having to ask for it. Reservations were essential - it was full by 7pm.

10/10I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant! The reservation on The Fork was very convenient with a 30% discount by booking in advance. T-bone steak is so so delicious—tender, juicy, and highly recommended. Another must-try is their signature black truffle pasta; it was rich, flavorful, and the best I’ve had in Italy!!! Overall, both the service and the quality of the dishes were excellent. I will definitely be coming back!

9.5/10The Fiorentina steak is perfect! Truly one of a kind. Service was also great and they got us a free dessert for my husband’s birthday. Will definitely recommend to visit Trattoria Dall’ Oste when in Florence.
