Service was very inattentive which was a shame as good food although we were given the wrong steak - one was ordered rare and one was medium well. Also, we paid on the app and was chased down the street by the waitress. We had waited 5 mins to pay but had somewhere to go. This was very embarrassing.

It's okay if the employee doesn't speak English. However, if there is a problem with order communication, you should apologize first. Don't just make excuses and talk to other employees. I felt really bad and I wondered if it was racism. You didn't understand the order, so why are you blaming the customer?

Our server Benjamin was absolutely fantastic from start to end. It’s our first time in Florence and this was the first restaurant we visited. I feel extremely lucky that I chose it! Benjamin assisted us throughout the whole process of choosing the right dishes for lunch. The sizzling steak was awesome and we all enjoyed the pasta too. I highly recommend everyone to give this restaurant a try!

After a previous stay in Naples in 2022, during a family trip to Italy, we had to include a dinner at Trattoria dall'Oste again! Excellent service and excellent meal. The bistecca Florentina is a must. So flavorful and tender. Will definitely dine again when we return to Florence!

Service was good up to the point where we put in our meal order. After that it was relatively hard to get anyone's attention, really had to scream out. Food wise, i dont recommend the florentine steak for the taste - if you want more marbling. It's definitely not that cut. It was more for the experience to try a Chianina breed. Skip the grilled veggies. We did not ask for the dessert menu nor or we offered it. Payment is completed at the cashier/host desk.

The food was poorly seasoned, especially the steak. We found ourselves needing to add salt and pepper to our steak at our table, which I would expect not to have to do at a reputable steak restaurant. It turned out that several tables around us also found the need to season their steak at their table. The food came to the table surprisingly fast, but we found the food to be lacking flavor. The service also could have been better, but we wrote it off as due to the language barrier.

The waiter’s carelessness and recklessness while preparing the cacio e pepe caused flaming alcohol to cause my arm to catch on fire. Not only did I sustain a 2nd degree burn, but I was met with hardly any compensation and an “accidents happen” attitude. On top of all of this, the food was sub-par at best! This restaurant does not deserve the high praise I thought it was known for

Server was rude. Would interrupt me mid sentence. Assumed I wouldn’t order wine (I must look poor lol) He visited the table only 3 times. I asked for my bistecca alla fiorentina to be rare and he insisted I do it medium rare….ruined the experience. Not worth the price, went to Mercato Centrale the next day and ordered a bistecca alla fiorentina rare and was amazing.

The T-bone steak is super delicious. Staff are providing good service and well explanation that really helpful for ordering the right choice. Having a great dinner this time.
