I made a reservation from Japan using the fork. I asked chat GPT for recommendations on Tuscan restaurants frequented by locals, and they recommended this restaurant. The friendly service and delicious meat were a great surprise. My daughter listed the T-bone steak at this restaurant as one of her top three memories from her trip to Italy. There were no other tourists around, so we were able to relax and enjoy our meal.

5.5/10The food was basic and far from authentic. We were disappointed with the food, especially after seeing the restaurant had one of the highest ratings on TripAdvisor. We also thought the pricing was too high for the food they served. However, the service was very good, the atmosphere and decor was great.

+1Our evening at TRATTORIA il Bargello was top notch. The service and food were great. The staff was very friendly and attentive. This was our first night in Firenze and likely the best meal we had during our 3 day staff. I would recommend TRATTORIA il Bargello.

It was a perfect meal. The mood and service were great. We booked it for our 10th anniversary, and we talked about coming back for our 20th anniversary. Thank you for allowing me to spend quality time with delicious food. One tip for travelers: the back of the restaurant doesn't have a good internet connection, so you can't pay with the app.

How can you sum up il Bargello in a 1000 characters? Lovely people, delicious food, delightful ambiance and an establishment that treats you like you are family. My simple advice to you...go and discover it yourself because I don't think my words can ever do it justice! Bellisama!

From the second we walked in we felt something special. The wait staff was kind and welcoming, equipped with great recommendations. I had the pasta with white ragu (incredible) and my wife had the venison ragu. The food was delicious. The cherry on top of a wonderful experience was meeting the owner who was the absolute sweetest. So sweet in fact, that he has his face on the sugar packets they carry at the restaurant. Such a lovely experience in Florence, and we will definitely return when we revisit the city.

6.5/10The food was pretty good. My party got three dishes. The veal cheek was excellent, the wild boar ragu was pretty good, and the squid ink pasta was fairly salty and not to my taste. When getting the check, they prompted me to tip, which I thought was classless, and an attempt to take advantage of me, a tourist. That rubbed me the wrong way.

So i m not enjoi you visit my trattaria because if you don’t like the food i understand but about the service you made a big big mistake!!! We serve the water we are smiling every time and but the tip . When the customer pay by the card the machine automatically ask tip . I made this for everyone Italian or other world country!!! We are in the best position in all the booking platforms service !!! We don’t need your tip !!!And I think I don’t need you enymore !!!

Was in Florence for 3 days and we ate Florentine steaks for 3 days in a row. This is by far our favourite store. The beef was perfectly charred with the aroma of beef. We really loved it so much! The desserts were all very good as well. We ordered tiramisu and panna cotta at first but had to try the mascarpone pistachio as well. All were great! Will 100% recommend

The service was excellent, and with the 50% discount, the prices were very reasonable. The dishes were delicious, but the Florentine T-bone steak was a bit too rare for our taste—the meat was cold inside and felt like we were chewing raw meat. The kids at the next table were extremely noisy, so we’re deducting one star for the environment. Still, the overall atmosphere was quite nice. Worth a try.

This was the 2nd time that we have been here over the years visiting Florence and already planning on returning next year during our wedding week where we will bringing along friends and family. Highly highly recommend, when you picture an Italian meal this is what you except plus more !!

6/10Lovely pretty trattoria with a traditional feel. However, we were initially left ignored and waiting on arrival at the door . Never a good start. Waiters were however friendly and helpful when we finally sat down. Food was ok but nothing special. I had the squid ink tagliatelle to start which was a little tasteless followed by beef with rocket and parmesan, some bits were really quite tough and not good at all. A little disappointing but perhaps I just ordered badly.

10/10One of my favorite restaurants in Florence. Last here three years ago and the food is still as delicious as I remembered. We enjoyed the pappardelle al cinghiale and the osso buco. A pleasant atmosphere and good service, too.

It might seem improbable that a trattoria located within a few short blocks of Florence’s Duomo and Piazza della Signoria could remain unaffected by the nearby turistico world. But Trattoria il Bargello surely is, serving up wonderful food and good wines, at great prices, in a warm, cozy, homey space. The linguine nero with fresh calamari was a special favorite. Service was attentive and truly felt like walking into a family gathering. Highly recommended!

10/10Wonderful food with a good range of dishes for a small place. The staff was warm and welcoming, and seemed to be having as much fun as the customers were. It's an excellent example of a small family-run place with an inviting atmosphere, joy, and excellent food. We had most of the pasta dishes and the steak. Everything was delicious!

+1Aside from the delicious food and wine, the attentive, friendly and caring staff (including server and manager) were amazing. They were accommodating to our special requests for a celebration and arranged a comfortable table and made the entire evening and celebration wonderful. We highly recommend this restaurant to everyone visiting Florence.
