Simply delicious! I will definitely be back. My waitress was also super friendly and helpful. She enhanced my dining experience. Highly recommend Umami and she deserves a bonus or raise!

Great service, attentive and caring, and extremely kind - rare for Amsterdam's standards. Great value for the money - full seafood menu with half lobster at €58 is 🔥. What can be improved: wine cart can be bigger and a few dishes are overly salty or with too garnishes.

10/10The team at Umami looked after my large group of colleagues (10) very nicely! Service was personable, attentive and friendly and the food was delicious. We enjoyed the social dining menu- which provided great variety and lots of beautiful flavours with every course. Thank you!

4/10Asahi Super-dry was served lukewarm. When I pointed it out, the floor manager said there is temperature limit of refrigerator. I made a suggestion and told him, if so you can freeze the glass which helps. He said the freezer is on the basement and it takes time to serve. They don’t deserve serving draft beer. The distance between tables is only 10 cm and we can hear the conversation from both sides of our table which was very annoying. This restaurant does not care the privacy or comfortable stay of guests. What they care is just to put as many tables as possible to make money. The lady serving plates did not know how to put plates on the table. She put them strongly on all tables around me and made loud noises every time. Food was good other than the main course lobster.

8.5/10Plenty good choices of dishes. My party enjoyed many of the dishes that we picked. We like the social dining option which is a modified version of the good practice in most Chinese restaurants. So for the 3 of us we had the chance to share 18 different dishes.

9.5/10We did the three course menu. It is so much food. The dishes were all quite tasty. The lemon fish might have been the best one. But they were all quite good. I liked the electronic wine list. Fun and good options. Good service. They explain each dish when served. I definitely enjoyed our visit.

8.5/10Extremely friendly staff (particularly the waitress from Portugal - Maria) and lovely food. I actually expected portions to be a lot smaller but there was plenty of food. Great to be able to get to try loads of different dishes - it was an adventure eating here. Prices reasonable for quality of food.
