5.5/10The staff was friendly and polite. The beef carpaccio appetizer was very good, and enough for two to share. The wine, however, was far below what should have been expected for 20 Euros per glass - it was almost that we had been served a poorly kept Chianti instead of the Bordeaux ordered. I did enjoy the risotto with mushrooms. My wife did not enjoy the Bugatoni, which seemed to lack some of the ingredients shown on the menu. I’m sorry for this review since the owners seemed nice, but the wine ruined the meal. Ordinarily I would have complained about it.

8.5/10Popular spot for the theatre-goers, Villa Dondelli straddles the line between chic and kitsch, with a life-size Vespa Fiat 500 sat next to the wine cellar. The service is efficient but lacks warmth, especially during rush hour. The menu is on the pricier side but the quality is there, featuring both Italian classics and a few more elaborate creations. The excellent pizza section is probably the value pick for tighter purses. All in all, a quirky villa I’d be happy to return to if I’m the neighborhood.
