Incredible food! Incredible service. But there was a loud fan making a screeching noise. They did offer to move us into another room but we would have had to move the food and drinks and it would have been a pain. Im sure they will have this fixed soon but it is why I gave ambiance a lower rating.

Serviço excelente! Foram fora das normas para acomodar -nos. Excellent service! They went above and beyond to accommodate us. The ambient was superb, we were celebrating a birthday . Very friendly staff making sure the dinner and evening is enjoyable. The manager did an amazing job for the surprise birthday cake. I highly recommend and will be back again.

I have been to Sabóia restaurant several times. I have been satisfied almost every time: the food, the atmosphere and the service etc. yesterday I went there again and ordered the sushi executive menu. To my surprise I wasn’t provided couvert. So I asked the waitress about it. She told me that another waiter took it away for I didn’t touch it. I had to ask for it. Then she brought it to me even without the butter. So I asked for it again. After several minutes she brought it to me finally. The waiters are very busy during lunch time which I can understand. It would be better if he was more attentive.

Very disappointing. We waited 1 hour 20 minutes to get served our main course (lunch)!!, even for our drinks…seriously they need to get more help in the kitchen! Food was ‘ok’ when it finally arrived, but by 2.50pm it’s rather late to be eating…not blaming the waiting staff, it’s not their fault, although really they should have at least served our drinks sooner. The bill was a bit of a fiasco too. Not impressed, they need to improve a lot….

At 19:44, I booked a table for four with the €25 sushi menu, set for an hour later. On arrival, we waited 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us—only to find they had no clue about the booking. We were left waiting again for the manager. When he showed up, he told us—without apology—that the menu we reserved just an hour earlier was no longer available. No alternatives, just “you can check the menu and eat whatever from it.” That menu starts at €15 for starters—hardly equivalent. I asked what options were considered. His answer? “None.” He handed us the menu and walked off. No one returned. After 5 more minutes, we left. The service was careless, the staff indifferent, and the handling of the situation shockingly unprofessional. A sad reflection of whoever’s running the place.

Recommended by the concierge at the Intercontinental. Was able to get a last minute reservation for 2. Easy walk from the hotel. Server made recommendations and they were all outstanding. The octopus carpaccio was one of my best dishes on a 2 week tip.

We’ve been here several over the years. The sushi is wonderful and the kitchen will adapt their menu if you don’t like certain ingredient, such as cream cheese. The service is charming and friendly and we will be back.

This place feels like a hidden gem. It is super charming and the staff was friendly and helpful! The presentation of the food was beautiful. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a disappointment with each of our dishes. I ordered the Truffle mushroom cream(soup) Delicious but a bit under seasoned and so was a bit flat on the tongue. Then the Lobster Puff - here I expected a crunchy outer and it was a bit quiche like and very soggy and oily. The flavour was good aside from that. For dessert I had the Petite Gateaux Chocolate this was very nice apart from the sliced strawberries which while expertly sliced tasted of onion probably from the knife) Having said this…. I think it is worth the visit… I hope the chef takes these statements into consideration because the talent of the chef was evident! And the corrections would be small to turn this restaurant into a sublime experience! I will try them again next time I am on Cascais!
