Always a great lunch deal with excellent seafood and washed down with good wine. The baba au rhum is outstanding. We like to show this place off to friends when we're in town.

When we couldn't communicate well in our limited French, we ordered the wrong thing for my wife, which I ate and which was distinctly mediocre. I had 18 oysters, 6 of which were really good, 6 medium, and 6 just barely qualifying as seafood. It seems that we had a serious communications breakdown that they did not care about. This is the same in a lot of neighborhood restaurants in the 14e. They don't depend on or cater to the tourist trade, and when they come across a couple of extremely knowledgeable seafood eaters who are not francophones, they just treat you poorly. I lived in the 14e thirty years ago and it's reassuring to know that it's the same bad story in some restaurants keeping up the tradition of mistreating people who are potentially their best customers.

We ate at Vin et Marie Maine-Montparnasse on our first and last nights in Paris. Everything about our second meal was as good as the first which I also reviewed. The food this second time was delicious and the service was great-attentive but not intrusive. My husband and I ordered the grilled sea bass for two and it was expertly prepared tableside. The fish was cooked perfectly and the sauce was an excellent complement to the fish, enhancing the dish but not overpowering the delicate taste of the sea bass. I would highly recommend Vin et Marie Maine Montparnasse. Thank you for another memorable meal.

We ordered the scallops and sea bass and both were excellent. We then shared an order of pastry flan and it was the perfect end to a great meal!

The service is very good, very friendly, and the quality of the food is also good. The only regret is that the prices are a bit high

We had a lovely dinner for our last night in Paris. We enjoyed the mussels and Sole special. Both were delicious! Only downfall was that we were not seen to for a drink or anything for 25 minutes which was a little odd. It wasn’t that busy during this time and most tables were into their dessert. Food came out quickly but if we had a drink earlier it would have been better.

Good fish and seafood restaurant. We went on the Sunday with young kids. We were probably the only ones lots of older generation families having lobster. That said, the kids were very well looked after and we enjoyed the mail. They were missing a runner when we went and it showed a bit but nothing dreadful. Food was good and tasty. All was fresh.
