7.5/10The area where we were sitting had these very unpleasant ceilings lights straight to our eyes and it was hard to see the people in front, not to say how annoying it is having to eat the whole meal with that light straight in your eyes. The food was good and so was the service. The best dish to us was the duck ;) strongly recommend! Shrimp Laurentina Style was also very pleasant.

3/10The restaurant opens relatively early, likely to cater to tourists. We had a reservation for 7:30 and the restaurant did not open its doors until 7:45. We were then seated in an empty restaurant and ignored by the staff, so walked out at 8:00 with the restaurant still empty.

The food was mediocre. The octopus salad was mostly fat, and the main dishes lacked flavor. Service was slow. The outdoor tent was loud. Would not recommend because the food should be way better for the $$$.

9/10We don’t exactly enjoy ZAMBEZE. While the food was very good the service was seriously lacking. They had several large parties and completely forgot about us; even though we told them it was our 30th wedding anniversary. At the end of the meal, the server apologized “sorry for the mess” his exact words. What a let down

10/10Food excellent, very well-cooked and presented, lacked fancy frills and irrelevancies. The service, especially by a young lady from Nepal, was beyond first class, charming, instantaneous, non-intrusive, and all accomanied by an enchanting happy smile. A blythe spirit, a member of a superb team. The room is beautiful, as the view would have been except it was dark outside.

A complete disappointment. The way that the staff was being disrespectful, dismissive and homophobic was surreal. You could notice a difference between mine and partner’s table and the other one with straight single women. The staff treated them much better. I guess there’s such a thing as preferential treatment. The staff barely spoke to us. Removed plates without even asking. And forgot to provide THEFORK discount. To simplify, not the best experience.

7.5/10great place and atmosphere. everything is very well designed with beautiful details, from the porcelains to the interiors. Food taste was very good but my main course (Zambeian Chicken) was just bones. I told to the waiter and I didn't get any feedback. i was expecting someone to come to the table and apologize since it is not cheap. I was a bit disappointed to say the least . all the rest was great

8/10Restaurant is stylish and in good location. Food was good, portions were very hot and of good size. However, compared to price, quality was average, nothing special. Meat and vegetables were slightly overcooked. Display was dull. Service was friendly enough and attentive, but Yamms-discount wasn´t taken into account directly. Also, when we ordered two soups for starters, waiter asked whether we like some bread with it. It was an unpleasent suprise, that the bread costed more than two soups.

10/10We loved the ambiance, the view, excellent and very amicable service. Food was out of this world:served on exquisite plates, prepared on a real Mozambican way, our waiter new a lot about Maputo,where some of stayed frequently many years ago. We also enjoyed the little lanes in Alfama which we had to "navigate" to locate "Zambeze".

8/10The restaurant provides a sophisticated ambiance, complemented by the use of Vista Alegre dishes. The service is generally pleasant and friendly. However, we did encounter a minor issue with the receptionist, who may have seemed disengaged and preoccupied with his computer. Given the restaurant's standards, we had anticipated a higher level of interaction and a warmer welcome. On a positive note, the dishes served at the restaurant were of exceptional quality, showcasing the use of premium ingredients. If you are seeking a taste of Mozambican cuisine, the restaurant offers a worthwhile experience. Nevertheless, there was an unfortunate incident where we requested a non-alcoholic cocktail due to an allergy, but were served one containing alcohol instead. Fortunately, the consequences were minimal, resulting in only temporary dizziness and facial redness for my partner. Additionally, at the conclusion of our meal, the expected Yum discount was not applied and we add to ask to correct the final bill. In summary, it would be advantageous for the restaurant to focus on improving the initial customer welcome and providing a more attentive and warm reception. By doing so, they can elevate their overall service and cultivate a more enjoyable dining atmosphere for their valued patrons.

10/10Spectacular panoramic views over Lisbon. For dinner go earlier to see Lisbon colors at sunset, while drinking something. Food is very well cooked and tasty. Laurentina shrimps or the Mozambique’s crab curry are two delicious plates. The octopus, cod fish and the steak are equally delicious and more traditional Portuguese with a twist. The service is very good. To go back!
