    I've visited this restaurant before and found it to be a solid choice with good quality and service. This time, I booked a table and later informed that their usual menu had been temporarily replaced from 22 June to 6 July by a seafood-focused selection. Since I love seafood and had positive memories of the place, I decided to keep the reservation. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations. The goose barnacle had an unpleasant taste and smell, and the scallop ceviche left the scallops tasting flat and bland. The crab with avocado could’ve been promising, but the salmon roe topping tasted artificial. When I mentioned the poor quality of the goose barnacles, the staff were understanding and removed the item from the bill. So I do appreciate their responsiveness. That said, I wouldn't recommend visiting until the regular menu returns after 6 July.

We use only fresh, high-quality products, and our seafood menu — clearly communicated in advance — was designed to highlight some of the best in Portuguese gastronomy. It’s unfortunate that you didn’t give the menu a fair chance, nor try the starters that reflect our culinary standards. While we respect personal taste, discouraging others from visiting feels unjust and doesn’t reflect the care and dedication we put into everything we serve. We’d love to welcome you again — either after July 6th when our regular menu returns, or sooner if you'd like to explore the non-seafood options we also offer.

    From cocktails to dessert, this was an amazing meal presented with finesse. The flavours were complex and complimentary; none were overwhelming or out of place. Presentation was artistic. Pacing was excellent.

    I’m so happy that my friend and I found this place through the Michelin guide app. Samantha took care of us that evening and she is an absolute delight and extremely knowledgeable about the cuisine. Both my friend and I opted for the “surprise me“ DEGUSTACION 6 courses and we highly recommend it! We also had a small selection for a wine pairing (about 3 wines each) which was a fabulous addition. Our highlights: Cod in curry with black eyed peas and cornbread crumbles. Ahi Tuna tartlet with pickled mustard seeds and avocado puree, Original Portuguese pot stickers in a light broth with micro-diced turnip also, hands-down, the best single pork rib we have ever tasted. Honestly, I could go on and on just try it for yourself. You are sure to be delighted with every course.

    I’ve been to Zunzum several times before and always enjoyed it, but this latest visit was a real let-down. The staff seemed disinterested and the service throughout was poor. We asked twice for our drinks, nothing complicated – one beer and two Cokes – but they didn’t arrive until the main courses were served. We’d also ordered the couvert for the whole table at the start, but it never arrived. When I followed up, I was abruptly told it was coming, yet several tables who arrived after us were served their bread and olives while we continued to wait. It finally turned up after we’d finished eating, so we had to send it back. I also dropped my knife and it took several minutes and multiple attempts to get a replacement, even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. I really don’t like leaving negative reviews, especially for places I’ve had great meals in before, but the lack of attention and care this time was disappointing. Hopefully it was just an off day.

    Nice relaxed atmosphere and decoration. Friendly service, too. After experiencing four different michelin restaurants we could not believe this was one of michelins, too. The food tasted and looked so ordinary, not bad but nothing compared to other luxury restaurants we have visited. This restaurant was not as expencive as other michelin restaurants but should still be cheaper for this quality.

    We had high expectations for ZunZum, considering its association with the Michelin guide, but unfortunately, the experience fell short. The food was good, but not extraordinary—certainly not at the level I anticipated. The service, however, was a real letdown. There was zero attention to detail. For instance, after finishing the bread and butter, no one bothered to clear the empty plates until the very end of the meal. We asked for the sommelier’s recommendation for two wines, expecting some guidance. Instead, he showed up 10 minutes later with two wines already chosen. The red wine was good, but the white wine, while decent, did not pair well at all with my wife’s dish. Overall, the experience lacked the refinement and attentiveness I would expect from a restaurant of this caliber...and price range.

    We had high expectations when we decided to pay our first visit to ZumZum as Chef Marlene is in the spotlight after receiving her first star. We started wonderfully with the super fresh pink prawns full of flavour, but then suddenly we had to wait almost 30 minutes for the second starter, 2 simple suckling pig croquets. The presentation was good but my croquet was cold inside (a sign that they rushed it to be served as quickly as possible). The restaurant was busy and you may attribute the delay because of this, but people that did arrive after us were eating their dessert when we finished our second starter. As Chef Marlene is from the North, the classic Francesinha was a must have, with the expectation that I would taste something different and special. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Lack of flavour and nothing different nor special. The chocolate crème brûlée for dessert was good. Overall, a bit disappointing, but we will be back to give Chef Marlene and her team a second chance.

    100% recommended! I’ve been here multiple times and it keeps surprising me. It really worth the visit. The Lobster Pasta is a must as well as the “Tartelattes” and the Lamb Katsu.

    Absolutely unreal. Electrifying food, enthusiastic service, beautiful interior and plating. You can taste how much thought they have put into their cuisines, the texture, taste of their combinations, the creativity and freshness… 0 complaints. AND with a reasonable price overall. As their menu changes from time to time, just ask for recommendations when you come. Doesn’t disappoint.

    Took the ” chefs choice ” of 6 course. Starters 1. avokado Toast - rate : 4/10 , what toast? It was a tjock crackers , and the Taste of crab does not go with roe and avocado, please try out more guacamole style instead. 2.Tuna Tartar 9/19. Yes! Awesome in every way. 3. Gyoza 1/10. Tasteless with brussel. Mains 1. Curry with cod 7/10, excited to try out a curry with fish and dry spices of korriander and coconut, creative and pan-global character. Good Job., 2. Ribs and so classic and down to earth 8/10. A traditional but so lovely dish cooked with love . Desserts . Two dishes came at the same time - chocolate brûlée with carnation ice cream and flavours 6/10. Another with raspberry and pistachio. 6/10. Unfortunately the waiter forgot basics like filling the water and also trying to charged for an extra bottle of wine- Not okey so did not give any tip. The ambiance and especially lightning design need improvement.

    Beautiful presentation, excellent taste combinations complimenting the main features, wonderful extensive cocktail selection in addition to wines we expect to see. Attentive staff, clean facilities, hip music and decor. Perfect for cruise ship access as well as Uber dropoff. Just ensure your driver drops off at the Zumzum location at the terminal, not across the busy thoroughfare!
